இந்திய 200 ரூபாய் பணத்தாள் ( Indian 200-rupee note (₹200) என்பது இந்திய ரூபாயின் ஒரு பொதுவான பணத்தாள் வரிசையில் ஒன்று ஆகும்.[1][2][3][4] 2016 இந்திய ரூபாய்த் தாள்களின் பண மதிப்பு நீக்க நடவடிக்கைக்குப் பிறகு இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கியானது ஐந்து புதிய பணத்தாள்களை வெளியிடுவதாக அறிவித்தது அவை-- ₹2,000, ₹500, ₹200, ₹50,₹100 ஆகும்..[5][6]
நாணய வகைகளை தீர்மானிக்க, இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி, 1-2-5 தொடர் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் ரெனால்ட் தொடரை பின்பற்றுகிறது. 1-2-5 தொடரின், அடுத்த தொகுதியான 'பத்துகள்' அல்லது 1:10 விகிதம் 3, படி நிலைகளாக, அதாவது 2, 5-, 10-, 20-, 50-, 100-, 200-, 500-, 1,000, .[7] முதலியனவற்றில் 200-ரூபாய் பணத்தாள் விடுபட்டுள்ளதாக இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி விவரித்து உள்ளது. ஐரோ மற்றும் பிரித்தானிய பவுண்டு ஆகியவை ரெனால்ட் தொடரில் மிகவும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பணத்தாள் மற்றும் நாணயங்களாகும், அவை 1-2-5 தொடரில் வரிசைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன இதையே இந்திய ரூபாயிக்கும் அடிப்படையாக கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளது.[8] 2017 மார்ச்சில், ₹ 200 பணத்தாளை அறிமுகப்படுத்த முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது இந்த முடிவு இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கியால் நிதி அமைச்சகத்தின் ஆலோசனையின் மூலம் எடுக்கப்பட்டது.[9]. குடிமக்கள் எளிதில் பரிவர்த்தனை செய்ய உதவும் ₹ 200 பணத்தாள்களை அறிமுகப்படுத்துவது குறித்து இந்திய அரசு ஆய்வு செய்தது.[10][11] 2017 சூனில், ₹ 200 பணத்தாளின் புகைப்படம் முகநூல் மற்றும் வாட்சப் போன்ற சமூக ஊடக தளங்களில் வேகமாக பரவியது.[12][13] மகாத்மா காந்தி புதிய வரிசை 200 ரூபாய் பணத்தாள் வரிசையை இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி அறிவித்தது, இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கியின் ஆளுநர் டாக்டர் உர்ஜீத் ஆர். பட்டேல், 2017 ஆகஸ்ட் 17அன்று கையெழுத்திட்டார்.[14][15] இந்தியாவில் எல்லா இடங்களிலும் 200 ரூபாய் நோட்டுகள் இன்னும் புழக்கத்தில் விடப்படவில்லை.

இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி புதிய 200 ரூபாய் நோட்டுகள் 2017 செப்டம்பர் 25 முதல் புழக்கத்தில் இருக்கும் என்று அறிவித்தது.[16][17]
