அல்-பீரூனி (Al-Bīrūnī) என்ற அபூ இராய்ஹான் முகம்மத் இபின் அகமத் அல்-பிரூனீ (Al-Bīrūnī alias Abū Rayḥān Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad Al-Bīrūnī ) (பிறப்பு: 4/5 செப்டம்பர் 973 - இறப்பு: 13 டிசம்பர் 1048) [3] நவீன பாரசீக மொழியில் இவரை அபூ இராய்ஹான் பிரூனீ என்றழைப்பர்.[4]) [5] வரலாறு, வானவியல், சோதிடம், புவியியல் ஆகிய துறைகளில் அறிஞராக விளங்கியவர். தாரிக் அல்-இந்த் எனும் இந்திய வரலாற்று நூலை எழுதியதின் மூலம் இந்தியவியலுக்கு பெரும் பங்காற்றியவர்.

மத்திய கால இசுலாமிய அறிஞரான அல்பீரூனி, இயற்பியல், கணக்கு, வானவியல், இயற்கை அறிவியல், மொழியியல், வரலாறு ஆகிய துறைகளில் பெரும் பங்காற்றியவர். அரபு, பாரசீகம், கிரேக்கம், யூதம், சிரியாக் மற்றும் சமசுகிருத மொழிகளில் பெரும் புலமை பெற்றவர். தற்கால மத்திய கிழக்கு ஆப்கானித்தானின் கஜினி மாகாணத்தில் அதிக காலம் வாழ்ந்தவர்.

1017இல் இந்தியத் துணைக்கண்டத்தின் மேற்கு, கிழக்கு, வடக்கு மற்றும் மத்தியப் பகுதிகளில் பயணித்து இந்துக்களின் நம்பிக்கைகள், சடங்குகள், சம்பிரதாயங்களை கூர்ந்து நோக்கி, தாரிக்-அல்-ஹிந்த் (இந்தியாவின் வரலாறு) என்ற நூலை எழுதியதால், இவரை இந்தியவியல் நிறுவனர் என்று பாராட்டப்பட்டார். மேலும் பல இந்தியத் துணை கண்டத்தின் பல நாட்டு மக்கள் பின்பற்றும் சமயங்கள், சமயப் பழக்க வழக்கங்கள், சமூக ஏற்றத் தாழ்வுகளை கண்டறிந்து, 11ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் இந்தியாவை விளக்கும் வகையில் அல்-உஸ்தாத் ("The Master") என்ற நூலை வெளியிட்டார். மேலும் 11ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் இந்தியாவின் புவி அறிவியல் தொடர்பாக பல பங்களிப்புகளை செய்ததால், அல்-பரூனீயை நவீன புவியியல் வரைபடங்களின் தந்தை என என்று போற்றப்பட்டார்.

வாழ்க்கை[தொகு]

தற்கால உஸ்பெகிஸ்தான் நாட்டின் காத் நகரத்தில் பிறந்தவர்.[6] .[7]

அல்பரூனீ தன் முதல் இருபத்தனைந்து ஆண்டுகள் ஆப்கானித்தானில் இசுலாமிய நீதிக்கல்வி, மெய்யியல், இலக்கணம், வானவியல், மருத்துவம் மற்றும் பிற கல்விகளை பாரசீக மொழியில் பயின்றவர்.[8][9] பின்னர் 995இல் புக்காராவிற்கு பயணமானார்.[10]

998இல் தபரிஸ்தான் அமீரகத்திற்கு சென்றார். அங்கு அவர் பண்டைய நூற்றாண்டுகளின் எச்சங்கள் (al-Athar al-Baqqiya 'an al-Qorun al-Khaliyya) என்ற நூலை எழுதிப் புகழ் பெற்றார்.

1017இல் கஜினி முகமது அல்-பரூனியை தன்னுடன் இந்தியப் படைப்யெடுப்புகளின் போது அழைத்துச் சென்றார்.[1] மேலும் தன்னுடய அரசவை சோதிடராக நியமித்துக் கொண்டார்.[11] அல்பரூனீ பாரத நாடு தொடர்பான பல விடயங்களை உற்று நோக்கினார். சமசுகிருத மொழியை கற்று,[12] தாரிக் அல்-இந்த் எனும் இந்திய வரலாற்று நூலை எழுதி முடித்தார்..[13] இந்திய வானவியலையும் கற்று தேர்ந்தார்.

வானவியல், கணக்கு, புவியியல் கணக்குகள் தொடர்பாக அல்-பரூனீ எழுதிய 146 நூல்களில் 95 நூல்கள் கிடைக்கப்பெற்றுள்ளது.[14] சோதிடம் தொடர்பான வானவியல் மற்றும் வானவியல் கணக்கீடுகள் குறித்து இவர் பல நூல்கள் எழுதியிருந்தாலும், சோதிடக் கட்டங்களில் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவர்.[15][16]

மற்றவர்கள் என்ன கூறியிருந்தாலும் புவி, சூரியனை சுழல்கிறது என்ற கோட்பாட்டில் நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்.[17] இந்தியச் சோதிடக் கலையைக் குறித்து அதிக விமர்சனங்கள் வழங்கியவர்.

சமயங்களின் வரலாறு[தொகு]

சமயங்களின் வரலாறு குறித்த அல்-பரூனீயின் நூல்கள் இசுலாமிய நிறுவனங்களால் போற்றப்படுகிறது.[18] அல் பரூனீ சரத்துஸ்திர சமயம், யூதம், இந்து, பௌத்தம், இசுலாம் மற்றும் பிற சமயங்களை ஒப்பு நோக்கி ஆராய்ந்தவர். இசுலாம் அல்லாத பிற சமயங்களை, அதனதன் நோக்கிலே ஆராய்ந்தவரே அன்றி, மற்ற சமயங்களுடன் ஒப்பிட்டு, குறை கண்டுபிடிக்கும் முயற்சியில் நோக்கவில்லை.
