அல்பைன் ஏரிகள் (Alpine lake) மிக அதிக உயரத்தில் உள்ள ஏரிகளாகும். இவை கடல் மட்டத்திலிருந்து[1] அல்லது மர வரிசைக்கு மேலே 10,000 அடி உயரத்திற்கு மேலே காணப்படும்.[2]

அல்பைன் ஏரிகள் பொதுவாக குளிர்ந்த நீரின் காரணமாக குறைந்த உயரத்தில் உள்ள ஏரிகளை விடத் தெளிவாக இருக்கும். இந்த நீரில் அல்கா மற்றும் பாசி வளர்ச்சியின் வேகம் குறைவாக இருக்கும். இந்த ஏரிகள் பெரும்பாலும் பைன் மரங்கள், ஆஸ்பென்ஸ் மற்றும் பிற உயரமான மரங்களால் சூழப்பட்டுள்ளன.[சான்று தேவை]
