நிலத்தாவரங்கள் (Embryophyta) (/ˌɛmbriˈɒfətə, -oʊˈfaɪtə/), புவியில் வாழும் தாவரவளத்தில் மிகவும் பரவலாகப் பார்க்கும் பசுந்தாவரக் குழுவாகும். இவற்றுக்கும் (/ˈɛmbriəˌfaɪts/) பசும்பாசிக்கும் பொது மூதாதையுண்டு. இவை இரண்டும் பசும்பாசி கவையான பிராகுமோபிளாஸ்டோபைட்டாவில் தோன்றின. சைகுனேமட்டோபைசியே இவற்றின் உடன்தோன்றலாகும்.^[12] நிலத்தாவரங்களில் பிரியோபைட்டுகளும் பாலிஸ்பொராஞ்சியோபைட்டுகளும் அடங்கும்.^[13] வாழும் நிலத்தாவரங்களில் கொம்பு பாசடைகளும் மடற்பாசடைகளும் குமிழ்பாசடைகளும் லைக்கொபைட்டுகளும், பெரணிச் செடிகளும், வித்திலைத் தாவரங்களும், பூக்கும் தாவரங்களும் அடங்கும். நிலத் தாவரங்கள் இருமடிவு உயிர்வாழ்க்கைச் சுழற்சிகள் உள்ளவை. இவை நன்னிர் வகை சாரோபைட்ட எனும் பலகலப் பாசிகளில் இருந்து தோன்றியவை என இப்போது அனைவராலும் ஒப்புக்கொள்ளப்படுகிறது.^[14]
