மேற்கு வங்காள சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தல், 2016 ஆறு கட்டமாக நடந்தது. மொத்தம் உள்ள 295 தொகுதிகளில் 294 தொகுதிகளுக்கு தேர்தல் நடந்தது. [1].[2][3]. தேர்தல் முடிவுகள் மே பத்தொன்பதாம் நாளில் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டன. தேர்தலில் திரிணாமுல் காங்கிரசு 211 தொகுதிகளில் வென்று பெரும்பான்மையுடன் ஆட்சி அமைக்கிறது.காங்கிரசு 44 தொகுதிகளில் வென்றது. இடது முன்னணி 32 தொகுதிகளில் வென்றது.
வேட்பாளர்கள்[தொகு]
திரிணாமுல் காங்கிரசு யாருடனும் கூட்டணி சேராமல் தனியாக போட்டியிடும் என்ற மம்தா பானர்சி அனைத்து தொகுதிகளுக்கும் வேட்பாளர்களை அறிவித்தார்.[4] பவானிபூர் தொகுதியில் போட்டியிடும் மம்தா பானர்சியை எதிர்த்து பாசக சுபாசு சந்திர போசு குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த சந்திர குமார் போசை வேட்பாளராக நிறுத்தியது.[5] மம்தா பானர்சியை எதிர்த்து காங்கிரசு ஓம் பிரகாசு மிசுராவை நிறுத்தியது[6] காங்கிரசிற்கும் மார்க்சிய பொதுவுடமை கட்சிக்கும் திரிணாமுல்லை எதிர்ப்பதற்காக புரிந்துணர்வு உடன்பாடு எட்டப்பட்டது.[7] பாசக 194 தொகுதிகளுக்கு வேட்பாளர்களை அறிவித்தது.[8]
