மலாக்ஸிஸ் டிஸ்காலர் என்பது ஜான் லிண்ட்லியால் [3] முதன்முதலில் விவரிக்கப்பட்ட லிலியோப்சிடாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு இனமாகும், மலாக்ஸிஸ் டிஸ்காலர் மலாக்ஸிஸ் பேரினத்தையும், ஆர்கிடேசி குடும்பத்தையும் சேர்ந்ததாகும். ஆர்க்கிட் பூக்களின் வகையைச் சேர்ந்த இது இலங்கையை பூர்விகமாகக் கொண்டதாகும். [4]
இது பொதுவாக ஊதா இலைகளையும் மஞ்சள் நிற பூக்களையும் கொண்டுள்ளது[5]
