கடற்கொள்ளையில் பெண்கள்
கடற்கொள்ளையில் பெண்கள் ( Women in piracy ) வரலாற்றில் பெரும்பாலான கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் ஆண்களாக இருந்தபோதிலும், [3] பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களுக்கு சுமார் நூறு அறியப்பட்ட உதாரணங்கள் உள்ளன, [4][a] அவர்களில் நாற்பது பேர் கடற்கொள்ளையின் பொற்காலத்தில் செயல்பட்டவர்கள். [6] சில பெண்கள் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களின் தலைவர்களாகவும் சிலர் முழு கடற்கொள்ளையர்களாகவும் இருந்து வழிநடத்தியுள்ளனர். மிகவும் சக்திவாய்ந்த கடற்கொள்ளையர் பெண்களில் செங் இ சாவோ (1775-1844) மற்றும் உவாங் பாமேய் (1906-1982) போன்றவர்கள் இருந்தனர். இவர்கள் இருவரும் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கான கடற்கொள்ளையர்களை வழிநடத்தினர். பெண்களின் பாத்திரம்
[தொகு]கடற்கொள்ளையர்களாக இருந்த சிலரைத் தவிர, பெண்கள் இரண்டாம் நிலையிலிருந்து கடத்தல்காரர்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்வது, பணம் கடன் கொடுப்பவர்களாகவும், திருடப்பட்ட பொருட்களை வாங்குபவர்களாகவும், மதுக்கடை பராமரிப்பாளர்களாகவும், பால்வினைத் தொழிலாளியாகவும் மற்றும் கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் மற்றும் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட இருவரின் குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்களாக இருந்ததன் மூலம் வரலாற்று ரீதியாக அதிக அளவில் கடற்கொள்ளையில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.[3] [9] சில பெண்கள் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களை மணந்து, தங்கள் வீடுகளையோ அல்லது நிறுவனங்களையோ கொள்ளையர்களின் பாதுகாப்பான புகலிடங்களாக மாற்றிக் கொண்டனர்.[10] இந்த இரண்டாம் நிலை பாத்திரங்களில் பெண்கள் மூலம், கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் பெண்களால் வலுவாக ஆதரிக்கப்பட்டனர்.[11] இங்கிலாந்தின் முதலாம் எலிசபெத் போன்ற மன்னர்கள் உட்பட சில செல்வாக்கு மிக்க பெண்கள்ஆ. 1558–1603, கடற்கொள்ளையர்களின் சக்திவாய்ந்த புரவலர்களாகவும் செயல்பட்டனர்.[3] அவர்கள் குறைந்த கல்வியையேப் பெற்றிருந்தாலும், சமகால கடற்கொள்ளையில் இந்த முக்கியமான இரண்டாம் நிலைப் பாத்திரங்களை பெண்கள் இன்றும் வகிக்கின்றனர். உதாரணமாக , சோமாலியாவின் கடற்கரையில் உள்ள கடற்கொள்ளையானது போக்குவரத்து, வீட்டுவசதி மற்றும் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு ஆகியவற்றில் பங்கேற்கும் கரையோரப் பெண்களால் பெரிய அளவில் ஆதரிக்கப்படுகிறது.[12]
ஆண் வேடத்தில் பெண்கள்
[தொகு]பொதுவாக கடல்வழிப் பயணம் என்பது வரலாற்று ரீதியாக மிகவும் ஆண்பால் சார்ந்த செயலாகும். [13] கடற்கொள்ளையர்களாக மாறிய பெண்கள் சில சமயங்களில் ஆண்களாக மாறுவேடமிட்டனர். ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் கொள்ளையர்கள் கப்பல்களில் அரிதாகவே அனுமதிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். கடற்கொள்ளையின் பொற்காலத்தில் பல கப்பல்களில், பெண்கள் துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக பார்க்கப்படுவதாலும், ஆண் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் பெண்கள் மீது சண்டையிடுவார்கள் என்ற அச்சத்தாலும் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்வதிலிருந்து தடைசெய்யப்பட்டனர் . ஆன் போனி (1697–?) மற்றும் மேரி ரீட் (1685–1721) போன்ற பல பிரபலமான பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் அதற்கேற்ப ஆடை அணிந்து ஆண்களாக நடித்தனர்.[14] பல கடற்கொள்ளை செய்த பெண்களின் பாலினம் அவர்கள் பிடிபட்ட பின்னரே அம்பலப்படுத்தப்பட்டதால், எஞ்சியிருக்கும் ஆதாரங்களால் சுட்டிக்காட்டப்பட்டதை விட அதிகமான பெண்கள் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களாக இருந்திருக்கலாம்.{Sfn|Rediker|2011|p=112}}
நாட்டுப்புறக் கதைகளில்
[தொகு]வரலாற்றுப் பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களைத் தவிர, திருட்டுப் பெண்களும் அடிக்கடி புராணங்களிலும் நாட்டுப்புறக் கதைகளிலும் தோன்றியுள்ளனர். ஆரம்பகால பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர் கிரேக்க புராணங்களின் அடலாண்டாவாக இருக்கலாம். புராணத்தின் படி திராயன் போருக்கு முந்தைய ஆண்டுகளில் ஆர்கனாட்டுகளுடன் சேர்ந்தார்.[15] நோர்டிக் நாட்டுப்புறக் கதைகள் மற்றும் நோர்சு தொன்மவியல் கதைகள் சரிபார்க்கப்படாதவை என்றாலும், கப்பல்கள் மற்றும் கடற்படைகளை வழிநடத்திச் சென்ற ஏராளமான பெண் போர்வீரர்கள் ( கேடயப் பணிப்பெண்கள் ) இருந்தனர்.[16] பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் நவீன புனைகதைகளில் பல்வேறு பாத்திரங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளனர். இவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் கலாச்சார விதிமுறைகள் மற்றும் மரபுகளை பிரதிபலிக்கின்றனர். 20 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் தொடக்கத்தில், கற்பனையான கடற்கொள்ளையர் பெண்கள் சில சமயங்களில் பெண் சுதந்திரத்தின் சின்னங்களாகவும் வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.[17]

கடற்கொள்ளையர் பெண்களின் வரலாற்று கற்பனையான சித்தரிப்புகள் பெரும்பாலும் பெண்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, அதிகாரத்தில் இருக்கும் பெண்களும் பற்றிய அவர்களின் காலத்தின் ஒரே மாதிரியான வடிவங்களை பிரதிபலிக்கின்றன. [18] எ ஜெனரல் ஹிஸ்டரி ஆஃப் பைரேட்ஸ் (1724) என்ற புத்தகத்தில் பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களின் சித்தரிப்புகள் ஒருவிதமான அமைதியின்மையைக் காட்டுகின்றன.[18] புத்தகத்தின் டச்சுப் பதிப்பிலுள்ள (1725) விளக்கப்படங்கள், பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்களை விரும்பத்தகாதவர்களாகவும், வெற்று மார்புடனும், நீதி மற்றும் வணிகத்தைப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தும் புள்ளிவிவரங்களை மதிக்காமலிருப்பது போன்றும் சித்தரிக்கின்றன. [18] கடற்கொள்ளையர் புனைகதை 18 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் நடுப்பகுதியில் பாரிய அளவில் பிரபலமடைந்தது . எழுதப்பட்ட பல கதைகளில் பெண் கடற்கொள்ளையர்கள் நடித்த புதினங்களும் அடங்கும்.
