மலையாளம் போன்ற இந்திய மொழி சில இந்திய மொழி விக்கிகளில் அவர்களது மொழியை தட்டச்சு செய்யதக்க வாறு ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளார்கள். தமிழ் தட்டச்சே ஒரு பெரிய தடை. தமிழ் 99 சிறந்தது என்றாலும், ஒரு வழியும் இல்லாமல் இருப்பதை விட இது சிறந்ததே. எனவே தயவு செய்து 3-6 மாதத்துக்கு இதை அனுமதித்து பாக்கலாம். கடும் ஆட்சோபனை இல்லாவிடின் இதை நிறைவேற்ற முயல்வேன். நன்றி. --Natkeeran 21:40, 23 நவம்பர் 2008 (UTC)

புதுப்பயனர் வரவேற்பு[தொகு]
புதுப்பயனர்களை வரவேற்று, வழிகாட்ட நாம் இடும் முதல் பக்கத்தை ஒரு வார்ப்புரு மூலம் எளிதாக பேச்சுப்பக்கத்தில் இடலாம். இப்பொழுது அந்த வார்ப்புருவை, {{புதுப்பயனர்}}, தொகுப்புப் பக்கத்தின் கீழே உள்ள கட்டத்தில் உள்ள இத் தொடரைச் சொடுக்கினாலே போதும். இப்படி தொகுப்புக் பக்கத்தில் சேர்ப்பது தவறாக இருந்தால் (தவறான வழிமுறையாக இருந்தால்) இதனை நீக்கிவிடுகிறேன். --செல்வா 16:16, 6 டிசம்பர் 2008 (UTC)

Inbulit transliteration tool[தொகு]
I am just wondering why Tamil wikipedia is not integrating an inbuilt transliteration tool for typing Tamil in Tamil wiki. If all of you are using inscript keyboard then this suggestion won't make much sense. But a normal user always use tanglish? (we call it manglish :)) for mail communication. So this enhancement will help newcomers. Inbulit transliteration tool will help more people to write in wiki without depending on specific tool or OS.
If you require any developer assistance please let me know. You can see an example of this inbult transliteration tool in Malayalam wiki if you try to edit any wiki page. If tamil wikipedians won't take my suggestions as offending, I would like to give some more suggestions which may help you to improve the quality of wiki.

- Currently there is the Tamil 99 standard for typing. It is the native way of typing, and will provide speed if learned properly. It was proposed after considerable research about Tamil letter freqneucy etc.
- We did not have much discussion about inbuilt transliteration, but some of us of the opinion that transliteration method can promote a substandard method of Tamil typing, and Tamil in general.
- But, we will have to discuss this futher, for sure. Thanks for your input.

Shiju, glad to see your interest in a neighbourhood wiki :) sure, we can keep english as the language of communication here. Please feel free to offer suggestions of any kind to improve ta wiki standards.
