வாலிசு ( Wallis ) வின்ட்சர் அரச குடும்பத்தின் உறுப்பினர் (பிறப்பு பெஸ்ஸி வாலிசு வார்ஃபீல்ட், பின்னர் வாலிசு சிம்ப்சன் ; ஜூன் 19, 1896[a] - ஏப்ரல் 24, 1986), ஓர் அமெரிக்க சமூகவாதியும் மற்றும் முன்னாள் மன்னர் எட்டாம் எட்வர்டின் மனைவியுமாவார். இவர்கள் திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளும் எண்ணமும், இவர் விவாகரத்து பெற்றவர் என்ற நிலையும் ஒரு அரசியலமைப்பு நெருக்கடியை ஏற்படுத்தியது. அது எட்வர்டின் பதவி விலகலுக்கு வழிவகுத்தது.
சொந்த வாழ்க்கை
[தொகு]வாலிசு பால்ட்டிமோர், மேரிலாந்தில் வளர்ந்தார். இவர் பிறந்த சிறிது காலத்திலேயே இவருடைய தந்தை இறந்துவிட்டார. இவரும் இவருடைய விதவைத் தாயும் அவர்களது குடும்பத்தின் செல்வந்த உறவினர்களால் ஆதரிக்கப்பட்டனர். ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்கக் கடற்படை அதிகாரி வின் ஸ்பென்சருடன் நடந்த இவரது முதல் திருமணம், இறுதியில் விவாகரத்தில் முடிந்தது.[1][2][3] 1931 ஆம் ஆண்டில், எர்னஸ்ட் சிம்ப்சனுடனான இவரது இரண்டாவது திருமணத்தின் போது, இவர் வேல்சு இளவரசராக இருந்த எட்வர்டை சந்தித்தார்.[4][5][6] ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் மன்னராக எட்வர்ட் பதவியேற்ற பிறகு, வாலிசு எட்வர்டை மணக்க எர்னஸ்டை விவாகரத்து செய்தார்.
இரண்டு உயிருள்ள முன்னாள் கணவர்களைக் கொண்ட ஒரு பெண்ணை திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ளும் மன்னரின் விருப்பம்[7] ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் மேலாட்சி அரசு முறை களில் அரசியலமைப்பு நெருக்கடியை ஏற்படுத்தியது.[8] இறுதியில் டிசம்பர் 1936 இல் மன்னர் "தான் விரும்பும் பெண்ணை" திருமணம் செய்து கொள்ள முடிந்தது. [9] அதன் பிறகு இவர் முறையாக அரச குடும்பத்தின் உன்னதப் பெண்ணாக அழைக்கப்பட்டார். ஆனால் தனது கணவரின் பட்டப் பெயரான " மாண்புமிகு " என்பதை பகிர்ந்து கொள்ள அனுமதிக்கப்படவில்லை.
சர்ச்சைகள்
[தொகு]இரண்டாம் உலகப் போருக்கு முன்னும், பின்னும், அதற்குப் பின்னரும், வாலிசு மற்றும் எட்வர்ட் நாசி அனுதாபிகள் என்று அரசாங்கத்தாலும் சமூகத்திலும் பலரால் சந்தேகிக்கப்பட்டனர். 1937 இல், அரசாங்க அனுமதியின்றி, இவர்கள் ஜெர்மனிக்குச் சென்று இட்லரை சந்தித்தனர். 1940 ஆம் ஆண்டில், எட்வர்ட் பகாமாசின் ஆளுநராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.[10][11] 1950கள் மற்றும் 1960களில், இவர்கள் ஐரோப்பாவிற்கும் அமெரிக்காவிற்கும் இடையில் சமூகப் பிரபலங்களாக வாழ்ந்தனர்.[12] பின்னர் இவர்கள் திருமணம் டிசம்பர் 10, 1927 அன்று விவாகரத்தில் முடிவடைந்தது.[13]

இறப்பு
[தொகு]வாலிசு ஏப்ரல் 24, 1986 அன்று பாரிஸில் உள்ள தனது வீட்டில் 89 வயதில் மூச்சுக்குழாய் நிமோனியாவால் இறந்தார்.[17] இவரது இறுதிச் சடங்கு ஏப்ரல் 29 அன்று விண்ட்சர் கோட்டையில் உள்ள செயின்ட் ஜார்ஜ் தேவாலயத்தில் நடைபெற்றது. அதில் இளவரசர் பிலிப், இளவரசி டயானா, ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் ராணி எலிசபெத் உட்பட பல அரச குடும்பத்தின் பிற உறுப்பினர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.[18][19] ராணி அழுவதை அந்த ஒரே ஒரு முறை தான் பார்த்ததாக டயானா பின்னர் கூறினார்.[19][20]
