பரஜன்யா
பரஜன்யா (சமக்கிருதம்: पर्जन्य) வேதங்களின் படி மழை, இடி, மின்னல் மற்றும் பூமியை வளமாக்கும் இந்து தெய்வம் ஆவார். இவர் வானத்திற்கும் சொர்க்கத்திற்கும் தெய்வமான இந்திரனின் வேதத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட வடிவமாவார்.[1][2]
விளக்கம்[தொகு]
பர்ஜன்யா என்பவர் பசுவின் மடியாக உருவாக்கப்படுத்தப்படுகிறார். மழை பசுவின் பாலைக் குறிக்கிறது. மேலும், இவர் சில நேரங்களில் இந்திரனால் கட்டுப்படுத்தப்படும் மழை தரும் ஒரு மிருகமாக கருதப்படுகிறார். இடி இவரது கர்ஜனையாக கருதப்படுகிறது. இவர் வேகமாக வளரும் அம்பு அல்லது நாணல் புற்களின் தந்தை ஆவார். இவர் கவிஞர்களின் பாதுகாவலராகவும், நெருப்பின் எதிரியாகவும் கருதப்படுகிறார்.[3]

இலக்கியம்[தொகு]
ரிக் வேதத்தின் மூன்று பாடல்களான 5.83,7.101 மற்றும் 7.102 ஆகியவை பர்ஜன்யாவுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. வேத சமஸ்கிருதத்தில் பர்ஜன்யா என்றால் "மழை" அல்லது "மழை மேகம்" என்று பொருள்.[4] பர்ஜன்யாவுக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட பிரார்த்தனைகள் அதர்வண வேதத்தில்குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளன.[5] மான்வந்தராவில் சப்தரிஷிகளில் (ஏழு பெரிய முனிவர்கள்) பர்ஜன்யாவும் ஒருவர். இவர் 12 ஆதித்தர்களில் ஒருவர் மற்றும் விஷ்ணு புராணத்தின் படி, கார்த்திக்கை மாதத்தின் பாதுகாவலர், ஹரிவம்சத்தில் ஒரு காந்தர்வர் மற்றும் ஒரு முனிவர்.[6]
பிற தெய்வங்கள்[தொகு]
இவர் பௌத்த இலக்கியத்திலும் தோன்றுகிறார். தேரவாத பௌத்த நியமத்தில், இவர் பஜ்ஜுனா என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். மேகங்கள் மற்றும் வானிலை மீது கட்டுப்பாட்டைக் கொண்ட வசவலஹாக தேவர்களின் மன்னராக இவர் உள்ளார். இவருக்கு கோகோக்கனடா என்ற மகள் உள்ளார்.[7] ஸ்லாவிக் பெருன், லித்துவேனியபெர்குனாக்கள், லாத்விய பெர்கோன்ஸ் மற்றும் பின்னிய பெர்கெலே "இடி கடவுள்", கோதிக் பேர்குனி "மலை" மற்றும் மோர்ட்வின் புர்ஜினெபாஸ் போன்ற பல்வேறு இந்தோ-ஐரோப்பிய கடவுள்களுடன் இந்த தெய்வத்தை அடையாளம் காணலாம்.[8]

If the fire by any chance went out, it was rekindled by means of sparks struck from the stone.
