சைக்சின் குரங்கு (Sykes' monkey) (செர்க்கோப்பித்தேக்கசு அல்போகுலாரிசு Cercopithecus albogularis) என்னும் குரங்கு ஆங்கிலேய இயற்கையியலாளர் கேணல் வில்லியம் என்றி சைக்ஃசு (Colonel William Henry Sykes) (1790-1872) என்பாரின் பெயரால் வழங்கும் ஆப்பிரிக்காவில் காணப்படும் வெண்தொண்டைக் குரங்கு ஆகும். இதனை சமாங்கோ குரங்கு (Samango monkey) என்றும் அழைப்பார்கள். இக்குரங்கின் அறிவியல் இனப்பெயர் செர்க்கோப்பித்தேக்கசு (Cercopithecus) என்பதாகும். இப்பெயரில் இலத்தீனில் செர்க்கோசு என்பது கெர்க்கோசு (κέρκος) எனப்படும் கிரேக்க மொழிச் சொல்லிலிருந்து வந்ததாகும். இதன் பொருள் வால். பித்தேக்கசு என்பது கிரேக்கச்சொல்லான πίθηκος (ape) என்பதிலிருந்து பெற்றது[3]. இதன்பொருள் வாலில்லா மாந்தக்குரங்கு, ஆங்கிலத்தில் ape, என்று பொருள். இதன் தமிழ்ப்பெயர் நெடுவால் பெருங்குரங்கு. இக்குரங்கு நீலக்குரங்கு என்னும் அதே இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த குரங்குதான், ஆனால் தொண்டைப்பகுதியில் வெள்ளைத் திட்டு இருக்கும் எனவே வெண்தொண்டைக் குரங்கு என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது. எத்தியோப்பியா, தென்னாப்பிரிக்கா, மக்களாட்சிக் காங்கோக் குடியரசு ஆகிய நாடுகளில் காணப்படுகின்றது. உச்சந்தலையிலும் வெண்கீற்றுகள் இழையோடு இருக்கும்.
