1796: சிசிலியா கிளீவ் சுவீடனின் முதல் பெண் நூலகர் ஆனார்.[1]

1852: பாஸ்டன் பொது நூலகத்திற்கு முதல் பெண் எழுத்தர் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்டார்.[2]

1890: எலிசபெத் புட்னம் சோஹியர் மற்றும் அன்னா எலியட் டிக்னர் ஆகியோர் அமெரிக்காவின் மாநில நூலக நிறுவனத்திற்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முதல் பெண்கள் ஆவார்கள்-குறிப்பாக, மாசச்சூசெட்ஸ் நூலக ஆணையர்கள் வாரியம்.

1911: தெரசா எல்மெண்டோர்ஃப் அமெரிக்க நூலக சங்கத்தின் முதல் பெண் தலைவரானார்.[3]

1912: லில்லியன் ஹெலினா ஸ்மித் கனடாவில் முதல் பயிற்சி பெற்ற குழந்தைகள் நூலகர்.[4]

1921: ஆலிஸ் டக்ட் கேரி, அட்லாண்டாவின் ஆப்பிரிக்க அமெரிக்க குடிமக்களுக்குப் பிரிவினையின் கீழ் சேவையாற்றிய முதல் கிளையான கார்னெகி நூலகத்தின் ஆபர்ன் கிளையின் முதல் தொழில்சார்ந்த நூலகர் மற்றும் கிளைத் தலைவர்.[5]

1921: நியூயார்க் பொது நூலக அமைப்பால் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்ட முதல் போர்ட்டோ ரிக்கன் நூலகர் புரா பெல்ப்ரே.[6]

1923: வர்ஜீனியா ப்ரோக்டர் பவல் புளோரன்சு நூலக அறிவியலில் (இளங்கலை நூலக அறிவியல்) பட்டம் பெற்ற அமெரிக்காவின் முதல் கறுப்பினப் பெண்.[7] (இது இப்போது பிட்ஸ்பர்க் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக உள்ளது).[8][9][10]

1940: எலிசா அட்கின்ஸ் க்ளீசன் நூலக அறிவியலில் முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்ற முதல் கறுப்பின அமெரிக்கர். இவர் சிகாகோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் ஆய்வு செய்தார்.[11]

1947: ஃப்ரெடா ஃபாரெல் வால்டன் என்பவர் கனடிய நூலக சங்கத்தின் முதல் தலைவர் ஆவார். இவரே இச்சங்கத்தின் முதல் பெண் தலைவர்.[12][13]

1963: சாந்தி மிசுரா முதல் நேபாள பெண் நூலகர். நூலக அறிவியலில் முதுகலைப் படிப்புடன் அமெரிக்காவிலிருந்து திரும்பிய பிறகு, திரிபுவன் பல்கலைக்கழக மத்திய நூலகத்தில் முதன்மை நூலகராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.[14][15]

1970: கிளாரா ஸ்டான்டன் ஜோன்ஸ், டெட்ராய்ட் பொது நூலகத்தின் இயக்குநராக, அமெரிக்காவின் முக்கிய நூலக அமைப்பின் இயக்குநராகப் பணியாற்றிய முதல் பெண் (மற்றும் முதல் ஆப்பிரிக்க அமெரிக்கர்) ஆனார்.[16][17]

1970: அமெரிக்க நூலகச் சங்கத்தின் சமூகப் பொறுப்புகள் வட்ட மேசை பெண்ணியப் பணிக்குழு நூலகங்கள் மற்றும் நூலகங்களில் பாலினப் பாகுபாட்டை தீர்க்க விரும்பும் பெண்களால் 1970-ல் நிறுவப்பட்டது.[18]

1971: எஃபி லீ மோரிஸ், பொது நூலக சங்கத்தின் தலைவராகப் பணியாற்றிய முதல் பெண் மற்றும் கறுப்பினத்தவர் ஆனார்.[11]

1972: உக்ரைனில் பிறந்த சோயா ஹார்ன், மனசாட்சியின்படி தகவல்களைப் பகிர மறுத்ததற்காகச் சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்ட முதல் அமெரிக்க நூலகர் ஆவார் (மேலும், இவர் பெண் என்பதால், அமெரிக்காவின் முதல் பெண் நூலகர்).[19]

1973: லாஸ் ஏஞ்சல்ஸில் உள்ள கலிபோர்னியா பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் பல்கலைக்கழக நூலகராக பேஜ் அக்கர்மேன் ஆனார். இதனால் இவர் பெரிய அமெரிக்கா நூலகத்தின் முதல் பெண் நூலகர் என்ற பெருமையினைப் பெறுகின்றார்.[20]

1976: சூலை 18-24, 1976-ல் சிகாகோவில் நடந்த அமெரிக்க நூலக சங்கத்தின்[21] நூற்றாண்டு மாநாட்டின் போது "இனவெறி மற்றும் பாலியல் விழிப்புணர்வு குறித்த தீர்மானம்" நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது.

1976: அமெரிக்க நூலக சங்கத்தின்[22][23] பெண்களின் நிலை குறித்த குழு 1976-ல் நிறுவப்பட்டது.

1985: சூசன் லுவானோ-மோலினா மெக்சிக்கோ செய்தி நிறுவன முதல் பெண் தலைவரானார்.[24]

1993: ஜெனிபர் டான்ஃபீல்ட் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் மக்களவை முதல் பெண் நூலகர் ஆவார்.[25]

1999: எலிசபெத் நிக்மேன் ஜெர்மன் தேசிய நூலகத்தின் முதல் பெண் தலைமை இயக்குநரானார்.[26]

2000: பிரித்தானிய நூலகத்தின் முதல் பெண் தலைமை நிர்வாகியாக லின் பிரிண்ட்லி நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். [27]

2002: இலண்டன் நூலக வரலாற்றில் முதல் பெண் நூலகராக இனெஸ் லின் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.[28]

2004: அஞ்சனா சட்டோபாத்யாய் இந்தியாவில் தேசிய மருத்துவ நூலகத்தின் முதல் இயக்குநரானார்.

2009: கேம்பிரிட்ஜ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் 650 ஆண்டுக்கால வரலாற்றில் ஆன் ஜார்விஸ் முதல் பெண் நூலகர் ஆவார்.[29]

2012: சோனியா எல்’கீயூரெக்சு கனடாவின் முதல் பெண் நாடாளுமன்ற நூலகர் ஆவார்.[30]

2016: லாரன்ஸ் ஏங்கல் பிரெஞ்சு தேசிய நூலகத்தின் முதல் பெண் தலைவரானார்.

2016: கார்லா ஹைடன் காங்கிரசின் முதல் பெண் நூலகர் ஆவார்.[31]

2019: லெஸ்லி வீர் கனடாவின் முதல் பெண் நூலகர் மற்றும் காப்பாளர் ஆவார்.[32]
