யுதிஷ்டிரன் (Yudhishthira) வரலாற்றாளார் அத்ரேயி பிஸ்வாஸ் செய்த புனரமைப்பின் படி, காஷ்மீரின் கடைசி அல்கோன் ஹுன ஆட்சியாளராக இவர் முன்மொழியப்பட்டார்.[1][2] புராணங்களிலும், இராஜதரங்கிணியிலும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஹூன மன்னர்களின் பட்டியல்களில் இருந்து இவர் தற்காலிக அடையாளம் காணப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

முதலாம் யுதிஷ்டிரனின் பெயர் இராஜதரங்கிணியின் முதல் மற்றும் மூன்றாவது புத்தகத்தில் இரண்டு முறை குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் பிஸ்வாஸ் இரண்டையும் ஒன்றாகவே கருதுகிறார். இராஜதரங்கிணி இவரை அல்கோன் ஹுன ஆட்சியாளர் இரண்டாம் தோரமணனின் (நரேந்திராதித்ய கிங்கிலன்) என்ற ஆட்சியாளரின் மகன் என்று விவரிக்கிறது. [3] இந்த அடையாளத்தின்படி, முதலாம் யுதிஷ்டிரர் தனது தந்தைக்கு அடுத்தபடியாக சுமார் 633 ஆம் முதல் 657இல் கார்கோடா வம்சத்தின் பிரதாபதித்தியனால் அகற்றப்படுவதற்கு முன்பு வரை 40 ஆண்டுகள் வரை ஆட்சி செய்திருப்பார்(அல்லது 24 ஆண்டுகள் ).[4] [5] யுதிஷ்டிரனுக்கு சிறிய கண்கள் இருந்ததால் "அந்த-யுதிஷ்டிரன்" என்று செல்லப்பெயர் பெற்றதாக கூறப்படுகிறது. கல்கணரின் கூற்றுப்படி, யுதிஷ்டிரன் கடைசி பெரிய ஹூண ஆட்சியாளர். ஆனால் அவருக்கு இன்னும் காஷ்மீரில் துணை ஆட்சியாளர்களாக இருந்த வாரிசுகள் இருந்தனர். [4] யுதிஷ்டிரனின் இறுதி ஆட்சி மற்றும் ஹூண சுதந்திர ஆட்சியின் முடிவுடன், காபுல் மற்றும் காந்தாரத்தில் சுமார் 666 பொச.இல் துர்க் ஷாஹிகள் போன்ற புதிய அரசுகள் எழுந்தன. [4]
மாற்றாக, ஜோ கிரிப் யுதிஷ்டிரன் கிங்கிலா என்ற முந்தைய அல்கோன் ஹுண மன்னரின் மகன் என்று முன்மொழிகிறார். இது கிபி 4 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் இறுதியில் இருக்கும். [6]
