புதிய ஜனநாயக முன்னணி (New Democratic Front (NDF)) என்பது இலங்கையில் 2009 ஆம் ஆண்டில் புதிதாக உருவான ஓர் அரசியல் கட்சி ஆகும். ஆரியவன்ச திசாநாயக்க என்பவர் இதன் தலைவர்[1]. இக்கட்சியின் சின்னம் அன்னம்[2].
அரசுத்தலைவர் தேர்தல் 2010[தொகு]
முன்னாள் இலங்கை இராணுவத் தலைவர் சரத் பொன்சேகா இக்கட்சியின் சார்பில் 2010, சனவரி 26 இல் இடம்பெற்ற இலங்கை அரசுத் தலைவர் தேர்தலில் முக்கிய வேட்பாளராகப் போட்டியிட்டார்.[3][4]. எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் கூட்டு வேட்பாளராகப் போட்டியிட்ட[5][6] இவருக்கு ஐக்கிய தேசியக் கட்சி, மக்கள் விடுதலை முன்னணி, தமிழ்த் தேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பு உட்படப் பல முக்கிய எதிர்க்கட்சிகள் ஆதரவு தெரிவித்தன.[7] சரத் பொன்சேகா இத்தேர்தலில் 40.15% வாக்குகள் பெற்று அரசுத்தலைவர் மகிந்த ராசபக்சவிடம் தோற்றார்.
அரசுத்தலைவர் தேர்தல் 2015[தொகு]
2015 சனவரி 8 இல் நடைபெறவிருக்கும் 7வது அரசுத்தலைவர் தேர்தலில் எதிர்க்கட்சிகளின் கூட்டு வேட்பாளராக மைத்திரிபால சிறிசேன மூன்றாவது தடவையாகப் போட்டியிடும் அரசுத்தலைவர் மகிந்த ராசபக்சவை எதிர்த்து இக்கட்சியின் தேர்தல் சின்னத்தின் கீழ் போட்டியிட்டு 51.28% வாக்குகளுடன் வெற்றி பெற்று 7வது அரசுத் தலைவரானார்.[8][9]
