சிலோட்டி மொழி

சிலோட்டி மொழி இந்திய-ஆரிய மொழிக்குடும்பத்தில் ஒன்றாகும். இம்மொழி 11 மில்லியன் மக்களால் பேசப்படுகிறது, வங்காளதேசத்தின் சில்ஹெட் கோட்டம், அசாமின் பராக் பள்ளத்தாக்கு, திரிபுராவின் வடக்குப் பகுதிகள் ஆகிய இடங்களில் அதிக அளவிலும்,^[1] மேகாலயா, மணிப்பூர், நாகாலாந்து ஆகிய இந்திய மாநிலங்களிலும் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியம், அமெரிக்கா, கனடா, மத்திய கிழக்கு ஆகிய நாடுகளிலும் சிறிய அளவிலும் பேசப்படுகிறது. இது வங்காள மொழியின் ஒரு வட்டார வழக்கு என்று பலர் பலவிதமாக கருதுகின்றனர், எனினும் பெரும்பாலான மொழியியலாளர்கள் இதை ஒரு தனித்த மொழியாக கருதுகின்றனர்.^[2]^[3]
