நில ஆள்வரை
நில ஆள்வரை (Jurisdiction (area)) என்பது, அண்டைப் பகுதிகளுக்கு பொருந்தாத, நீதிமன்றங்கள் அல்லது அரசு கட்டுப்பாட்டில் அமைந்த சட்டங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ள ஒரு நிலப்பகுதி ஆகும்.[1][2]
ஆத்திரேலியா, செருமனி மற்றும் அமெரிக்கா போன்ற கூட்டாட்சி கொண்டுள்ள தேசங்களில் ஒவ்வொரு மாநிலமும் தனித்தனி நில ஆள்வரையாகும். இருப்பினும், சில வேளையில் கூட்டாட்சி அரசின் சில சட்டங்கள், சீராக கூட்டமைப்பு மாநிலங்கள் அனைத்திற்கும் பொருந்துவதாக இருக்கும். மேலும் இது கூட்டாட்சி அரசின் நீதிமன்றத்தால் நடப்பிலாக்கும் விதத்தில் அமைந்திருக்கும். இந்நோக்கில் கூட்டாச்சி அரசு ஒற்றை ஆள்வரையாக அமையும்.
ஒற்றை நாடுகள், பொதுவாக ஒற்றை ஆள்வரையைக் கொண்டிருக்கும், ஆனால் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியம் இதற்கு ஒரு விதிவிலக்காகும்; இது மூன்று விதமான தனிப்பட்ட ஆள்வரைகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.
