அந்தரியம் (ஆடை)
அந்தரியம் ( antarīya ) என்பது பண்டைய இந்தியாவில் பெண்களின் உடலின் இடுப்புக்கு கீழேயுள்ள பகுதிகளை மறைக்கப் பயன்படுத்தப்ப்ட்ட ஆடை வகையாகும். இது ஒரு நீளமான வெள்ளை அல்லது வண்ணப் பருத்தித்துணியைப் பட்டையாக, கால்கள் வழியாக, பின்புறம் வரித்துக்கட்டி, கால்களை தளர்வாக மூடி, பின் கால்களுக்கு முன்னால் நீண்ட மடிப்புகளாகப் கட்டி உடலை மறைக்கிறது. வரலாறு[தொகு]
இந்த அந்தரியம் எனப்படும் ஆடை, ராமாயணம் மற்றும் மகாபாரதம்[5] போன்ற இதிகாசங்களில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ள பண்டைய ஆடைகளில் ஒன்றாகும். [6] இந்திய துணைக் கண்டத்தில் உள்ள பல்வெறு சிற்பங்களில், குறிப்பாக இந்து கோயில்கள் மற்றும் பிற உருவப்படங்களில் இந்து தெய்வங்கள் உத்தரியம் எனப்படும் மேலாடைகள் மற்றும் அந்தாரியம் எனப்படும் கீழாடைகள் அணிந்திருப்பதைக் காணமுடியும்.[7][8][9]
6ஆம் நூற்றாண்டைச் சேர்ந்த, பௌத்த பாலி இலக்கியத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளபடி, சாரி ஷாடிகா (சன்ஸ்கிருதம்ஃ ஷாடிகா) என்பதும் பண்டைய காலத்தில் பெண்கள் அணிந்திருந்த மூன்று துண்டு உடைகளில் ஒன்றான அந்தாரியத்தின் பரிணாம வடிவமாகும்.

அந்தாரியா என்ற சொல் சமஸ்கிருத வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்ததாகும். [10].
பயன்பாடு[தொகு]
அந்தாரியம் பொதுவாக மெல்லிய பருத்தி அல்லது பட்டுத்துணியைக் கொண்டு செய்யப்படும். இது பொதுவாக உத்தரியத்துடன் இணைந்தே பயன்படுத்தப்படும்.
