தமர்லா சென்னப்ப நாயக்கரின் மூன்றாவது மகனான இவர் [1] தமர்லா வெங்கடப்ப நாயக்கர் மற்றும் தமர்லா அய்யப்ப நாயக்கரின் தம்பியாவார் [2] [3][4] . அங்கபுபாலா நாயக்கர் காளஹஸ்தி பகுதியை நிர்வகித்தவர் [5] [6] உஷா பரிணயம் [7] [8] [9] மந்திர காண்டம் என்னும் (16 குணங்கள் உடன் 64 மந்திரம் அடங்கிய) 108 பாடல்கள் கொண்ட தொகுப்பு எழுதினார். [10] அங்கபுபாலா பல இலக்கியங்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார் . இவர் சிறந்த தெலுங்குக் கவிஞராகக் கருதப்படுகிறார் [11] [12]
