Rev.Jacob Memorial christian college (rjmcc),Ambilikkai in tamilnadu,india, was established in the year 1997-98 by late Padmaphushan Dr.Jacob Cherian under the aegis of the Christian Education Health and Development society, at Amblikkai it was affilitated to Madurai kamaraj university .it is a co-educational self-financed non-profit organization

LOCATION

 The college is located in shanthipuram,ambilikkai, about 10kms from oddanchatram on dharapuram road. The college can be reached from Dindigul,Madurai,palani& coimbatore. Frequent buses are available from oddanchatram and kallimandhayam.

Deparments

   Biochemistry - Since its commencement in 1997, the Department of Biochemistry has continuously strived for fineness in both teaching and research oriented activities. Teaching quality is constantly updated to keep pace with modern trends and designed to impart training in theoretical and practical skills in addition to equipping students to face the research world and job market. The dynamic and vibrant focus of the department on students is reflected in arranging apt employability opportunities, industrial visits, seminars and organizing national and international conferences. The alumni of the department are well placed in India and abroad universities, colleges, and R&D Organizations.

Programme provides a strong foundation in Biochemistry. Opportunities for undertaking research works in prestigious national and inter-national research institutes and industries.Industrial visit and In-plant training.

    Business administration - The deparment of business administration began to function independently . It includes all aspects of overseeing and supervising business operations, as focus on management and leadership it also covers fields which include accounting, finance, project management and marketing

   Bachelor of commupter application -This course was started in the academic year 2002-2003.The department has two air conditioned computer labs with thirty five systems, supported by uninterrupted power supply. Internet facility is also available. The department is enhanced with web camera, laser, printers, and LCD projector &satellite connectivity (VSAT). The library holdings are upgraded in tune with the latest versions and trends with 510 books. The faculties are specialized in computer Graphics, Networking, visual Basic, VB.Net, c++, java, Oracle, Web Designing and client server.

        B.A English -The department of English has been a part of the tradition of RJMCC since inception. B. A English literature was started in (year) and M. A English literature was started in (year). The department focuses and helps the students to inculcate the right kind of attitude to learn English language and literature. Our modernized language lab helps to develop the basic standards of students learning English as a foreign language. The department has come up a long way in the positive directions, still then as Robert Frost pens, 'miles to go, before I sleep', there are miles and miles to be covered.

        B.A Tamil -Dr. T. Shanthi, the Head of Department of Tamil has been working since 1998 in this college. The Department of Tamil was established in the year 2005.There are four staff working in the department under the headship of Dr. T. Shanthi. She keeps the department active and vibrant with her plans and regular activities.
