கீதா குரு-மூர்த்தி

கீதா குரு-மூர்த்தி ஆங்கில மொழி தொலைக்காட்சி நிகழ்ச்சி வழங்குனர், செய்தி வாசிப்பாளர், செய்தியாளர் ஆவார். இவர் பிபிசியில் 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல், பிபிசி நியூஸ் அட் நைன் எனும் நிகழ்ச்சியின் வழங்குனராகவும், பிபிசி உலகச் செய்திகள் தொலைக்காட்சி அலைவரிசை, பிபிசி 2 தொலைக்காட்சி அலைவரிசை, பிபிசி செய்தி அலைவரிசை ஆகியவற்றில் செய்தி வழங்குனராகவும் பணியாற்றிவர்.

ஆரம்ப கால வாழ்க்கையும், பணியும்[தொகு]

கீதா லிவர்பூலில் பிறந்து, லங்கசையர் கவுண்டியிலுள்ள மேற்கு பிரட்போர்டு எனும் சிற்றூரில் வளர்ந்தார். இவரின் தந்தை ஒரு ஊடுகதிரியலாளராக பர்ன்லே, பிளாக்பர்ன் ஆகிய இடங்களிலுள்ள மருத்துவமனைகளில் பணிபுரிந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்.^[1]^[2] இசைக் குழுக்களில் உறுப்பினராகவும், நாடகங்களில் பங்குபெறுபவராகவும், பாடல் குழு உறுப்பினராகவும் இருந்தார் கீதா. பின்னர், உயிர்வேதியியல் படித்துவிட்டு தனது பணிகளை மாற்றினார்.^[1]

பிபிசியின் உள்ளூர் செய்தி நிகழ்ச்சியான பிபிசி லுக் நார்த் (யார்க்சையர் மற்றும் நார்த் மிட்லேண்ட்ஸ்) எனும் நிகழ்ச்சியின் செய்தியாளராகப் பணியாற்றினார். அதன்பிறகு சேனல் 5 எனும் தொலைக்காட்சி நிறுவனத்தில் பணி புரிந்தார்.^[3]^[4] 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பிபிசியின் ஏசியா டுடே, பிபிசி பிரேக்பாஸ்ட் ஆகிய நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் வழங்குனராகவும், பிபிசி வேர்ல்டு, பிபிசி நியூஸ் 24 ஆகிய அலைவரிசைகளில் செய்தி வழங்குனராகவும் பணியாற்றத் தொடங்கினார். 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டில் பிபிசி ரேடியோ 4 வானொலியில் செய்தி வழங்குனராக பணியாற்றினார்.^[1]^[5] கீதா 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டில் வேக்கிங் தி டெட் எனும் தொலைக்காட்சித் தொடரில் நடித்தார்.

ஆண்-பெண் இருவருக்கிடையே நிலவும் ஊதிய வேறுபாட்டுக்கு எதிராக பிபிசியின் பெண் ஊழியர்கள் பரப்புரையில் ஈடுபட்டபோது, கீதாவும் பங்களித்தார்.^[6]

02 பிப்ரவரி 2023 அன்று பிபிசி தனது செய்தி அலைவரிசையில் செய்த மாற்றங்களின்போது, 10 செய்தி வழங்குனர்கள் தமது பணியை இழந்தனர். இவர்களுள் கீதாவும் ஒருவராவார்.^[7]

பிலிப் கொலின்ஸ் எனும் இதழியலாளரை 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டு சூன் மாதத்தில் கீதா குருமூர்த்தி திருமணம் செய்தார்.^[1]^[8] கீதாவின் இளைய தமையன் கிருஷ்ணன் குரு-மூர்த்தி என்பவர், சேனல் 4 நியூஸ் தொலைக்காட்சியில் செய்தியாளராக பணியாற்றுகிறார்.^[5]^[9]
