அன்னா மேரி மேத்யூ வெட்டிகாட் (Anna M. M. Vetticad) ஓர் இந்தியப் பத்திரிகையாளர்,[2] திரைப்பட விமர்சகர்,[3] மற்றும் கலாச்சார விமர்சகர் ஆவார்.[4] இவர் 1994 முதல் பத்திரிகைத் துறையிலிருந்து வருகிறார்.[5][6] வெட்டிக்காட் இந்திய திரைத்துறை மற்றும் இந்தியத் திரையுலகின் அரசியல் விமர்சனங்களுக்குப் பெயர் பெற்றவர்.[7][8] இவர் பெண்கள் அதிகாரமளித்தல்[9] மற்றும் பிரபலமான பொழுதுபோக்குகளில் ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட சமூகங்களின் பிரதிநிதித்துவத்துக்காக வாதிடுபவர்.[10][11]

இளமை[தொகு]

வெட்டிக்காட் தில்லியில் மலையாளி பெற்றோருக்கு மகளாகப் பிறந்தார்.[12] தில்லியில் உள்ள இயேசு மற்றும் மேரி கன்னியர்மடப் பள்ளிப்படிப்பை முடித்தார்.[13] குடும்பத்துடன் தில்லியில் வசித்து வருகிறார். [14]

பணி[தொகு]

வெட்டிக்காட் தொலைக்காட்சியில் பணியாற்றுவதற்கு முன்பு இந்தியா டுடே (1994-2002) மற்றும் தி இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ் (2002-2005) ஆகியவற்றில் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.[15][16] இவர் ஹெட்லைன்ஸ் டுடேவில் 2011 வரை பணியாற்றினார். இந்தியா டுடே,[17][18][19] தி நியூ இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ்,[20] தி இந்தியன் எக்ஸ்பிரஸ், [21] மற்றும் தி இந்து உள்ளிட்ட முன்னணி இதழ்கள் மற்றும் செய்தித்தாள்களில் கட்டுரைகள் எழுதுவதை வழக்கமாகக் கொண்டிருந்தார் வெட்டிக்காட்.[22][23] தில்லியில் உள்ள இந்திய மக்கள் தொடர்பியல் நிறுவனத்தில் வருகை தரும் ஆசிரியராகவும் இவர் இருந்தார்.[24]

வெட்டிகாட் , தி அட்வென்ச்சர்ஸ் ஆஃப் அன் இன்ட்ரெபிட் ஃபிலிம் கிரிட்டிக் (2012) புத்தகத்தின் ஆசிரியர்.[25] இந்தியச் சமூகத்தின் கண்ணோட்டம், இந்தித் திரையுலகின் பரிசம் மூலம் பார்க்கப்படும், ஒரு வருடக் கண்ணோட்டம் இதுவாகும்.[26] புத்தகத்தில் ரன்பீர் கபூரின் முன்னுரை இடம்பெற்றுள்ளது.[27]

2016-ஆம் ஆண்டில், தி இந்து பிசினஸ்லைனில் இவரது மாதாந்திர பத்தியான "பிலிம் பாடேல்"க்காக வர்ணனை மற்றும் விளக்க எழுத்து பிரிவில் ராம்நாத் கோயங்கா ஊடகவியைல் சிறப்பு விருதைப் பெற்றார்.[28][29]
