நச்சல் உறுப்பு
நச்சல் உறுப்பு (Nuchal Organ) என்பது வளையப் புழுக்களின் புரோஸ்டோமியத்தின் பின்புறம் காணப்படும் குற்றிலையுடன் கூடி குழி[1] அல்லது வரிப்பள்ளமாகும்.[1] சில தலைக்காலிகளிலும்,[2] மற்றும் பிற முதுகெலும்பிலிகளும் காணப்படுகிறது.[3]
வளையப் புழுக்களில் ஒரே ஒரு நச்சல் உறுப்பு மட்டுமே காணப்படின், இதன் அமைவிட அடிப்படையில் ஒரு இணை உறுப்புகளாகத் தோன்றக்கூடும்.[4]
நச்சல் உறுப்பு ஒளியினை உணரும் உறுப்பாகவும்,[2] உணவினைக் கண்டறிதலுடன் இனச்சேர்க்கையிலும் பங்காற்றுகிறது.[5]
