இடச்சு (
நீடலான்ட்ஸ் (உதவி·தகவல்); நெதர்லாந்து மொழி) மொழி, ஏறத்தாழ 22 மில்லியன் மக்களால் பேசப்படும் மேற்கு ஜெர்மானிய மொழியாகும். இம்மொழி பேசுபவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் நெதர்லாந்து மற்றும் பெல்ஜியத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள். தவிர, சிறு எண்ணிக்கையிலான இடச்சு பேசும் குழுவினர் பிரான்சிலும் நெதர்லாந்தின் முந்தைய குடியிருப்பு நாடுகளிலும் இருக்கிறார்கள். இடச்சு மொழி, ஆங்கிலத்துக்கும் ஜெர்மன் மொழிக்கும் நெருங்கிய தொடர்பு உடையது.[1][2][2] A long series of parliamentary and public discussions in the 2010s on the question whether to enshrine Dutch as the official language of the Netherlands came to nothing, and the proposal was withdrawn again by the government in February 2018.[2]}}[not in citation given] and about 60% of the population of Belgium (as one of three official languages) speak Dutch.[3]
