கிலாதார்
கிலாதார் (Kiladar) மத்தியக்கால இந்தியாவின் பெருநகரங்கள் அல்லது பெரும் கோட்டைகளை நிர்வகிப்பரை ஆளுநர் என்ற பதவிப் பெயரில் அழைத்தனர்.[1] மராத்தியப் பேரரசு காலத்தில் இப்பதவி வகிப்பவரை கிலாதார் என அழைத்தனர். ஐரோப்பிய நிலப்பிரபுத்துவ காலத்தில் கிலாதாரை அரண்-அரண்மனை ஆட்சியாளர் (Castellan) என அழைத்தனர்.[2]
கிலாதார் எனும் இந்தி மொழிச் சொல், ``கோட்டைப் பாதுகாவலர்`` எனப் பொருள்தரும். [3][4]

மராத்தியப் பேரரசில் போர் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த கோட்டைப் பாதுகாவலர்களைக் கிலாதார் என அழைத்தனர்.[5]
