குர்ட் கியேடல் (Kurt Gödel) (ஏப்ரல் 28, 1906 - ஜனவரி 14, 1978) ஆஸ்திரியாவில் பிறந்த அமெரிக்க ஏரண, கணித, மெய்யியல் அறிஞர். உலகிலேயே மிகவும் பெரும்புகழ் நாட்டிய ஏரணர் (logician) எனலாம். 20-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் வாழ்ந்த புகழ்பெற்ற கணித, மெய்யிலாளர்களாகிய ஆல்ஃவிரட் நார்த் வொய்ட்ஹெட், பெர்ட்ரண்ட் ரஸ்சல், டேவிட் ஹில்பர்ட் ஆகியோர் வாழ்ந்த காலத்தில் இவருடைய ஏரணக் கருத்துகள் பெரும் தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தின.[1]

1931இல் 25 அகவையே நிரம்பிய கியேடல் வெளியிட்ட இரு முற்றுப்பெறாமைத் தேற்றங்கள் புகழ் பெற்றவை. இவற்றுள் புகழ்பெற்ற ஒரு தேற்றம் கூறுவது என்னவென்றால், இயல் எண்கள் பியானோ எண்கணிதத்தை (Peano arithmetic)) விளக்ககூடிய, தமக்குள் ஒத்தியங்கும் (self-consistent), எந்த மீளுறுக் கண (recursive set), முதற்கோள் அமையமும்(axiomatic system), தன் அமைப்புள், உண்மையென முன்வைக்கப்படும் கூற்றுகள் சில முதற்கோள்களால் (axioms) நிறுவமுடியாமல் இருக்கும். இந்த முடிவை நிறுவ கியோடல் எண் சூட்டும் முறை ஒன்றை உருவாக்கினார்.

முதற்கோள்கள் தமக்குள் ஒன்றுகொன்று ஒத்தியக்கம் உடையதாக இருப்பின், முதற்கோள் வழித்தான கணக்கோட்பாட்டியலைக் (axiomatic set theory) கொண்டு தொடர்ச்சியான முன்கோளை (continuous hypothesis) நிறுவ முடியாது என்று நிலைநாட்டினார். மரபுவழி ஏரணம், உய்த்துணர் ஏரணம், நிகழ்தகவுநிலை ஏரணம்(மோடால் ஏரணம்) ஆகியவற்றுக்கு இடையே உள்ள உறவுகளை தெளிவுபடுத்தி மெய்நாட்டுமைக் கருத்தியத்திற்கு (proof theory) ஏற்றம் தந்தார்.

வாழ்க்கை

குர்ட் பிரீடரிக் கியேடல் (Kurt Friedrich Gödel) ஏப்ரல் 28, 1906 அன்று ஆஸ்திரிய-அங்கேரியைச் சேர்ந்த (இப்போதைய செக் குடியரசு), மொராவியாவில் புருனோ என்னும் இடத்தில் இடாய்ச்சு (ஜெர்மன்) இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ருடால்ஃவ் கியேடல் என்பாரின் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தார். ருடால்ஃவ் கியோடால் நெசவு ஆலையில் மேலளராக இஉந்தார். தாயார் மாரியான் கியேடல் ஆண்ட்சூ (Handschuh)வில் பிறந்தவர்.[2] இவரது காலத்தில் அந்நகரில் செருமன் பேசுபவர்கள் பெரும்பான்மையான எண்ணிக்கையில் இருந்தனர்.[3] குர்ட் கியேடலின் மூதாதையர்கள் புருனோவின் கலைபண்பாட்டு வாழ்க்கையில் நன்கு பங்கு கொண்டவர்கள். குர்ட் கியேடலின் தாத்தா யோசஃவ் கியேடல் அக்காலத்தில் புகழ்பெற்ற பாடகர்.[4] .

இறப்பு

கியேடலுக்கு கி. பி. 1951ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான அல்பர்ட் ஐன்ஸ்டீன் விருது சூலியன் சீவிங்கருடன் பகிர்ந்து வழங்கப்பட்டது. கி. பி. 1974ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான "அறிவியலின் தேசிய பதக்கம்" என்ற விருதும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

இவர் தன் பிற்கால வாழ்க்கையில் மனநலக் கோளாறுகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு நலிவுற்றார். இவருக்கு தன் உணவில் யாரோ நஞ்சை கலந்துவிடுவதாக தேவையில்லாத அச்சம் இருந்தது. அதனால் இவரின் துணைவியான அடெல் தயாரித்த உணவுகளையே உட்கொண்டார். கி. பி. 1977ஆம் ஆண்டில் அடெல் ஆறு மாதங்கள் மருத்துவமனையில் இருந்ததால் இவருக்கு உணவு தயாரிக்க இயலாமல் போனது. இவரின் துணை தயாரிக்காத உணவை உட்கொள்ள மருத்த கியேடல் உண்பதற்கு மறுத்து பசியால் இறந்தார். இவர் இறக்கும் போது இவரின் எடை வெரும் முப்பது கிலோகிராம்களே இருந்தன. பிரின்சுடன் மருத்துவனை கி. பி. 1978ஆம் ஆண்டில் இவர் தனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட மன உளைச்சலால் உணவு அருந்தாமல் நலிவுற்று இறந்தார் என அறிவித்தது. இவரைத் தொடர்ந்து இவரின் துணைவியான அடெல் கி. பி. 1981ஆம் ஆண்டில் இறந்தார்.
