சிவப்புப் பருந்து (ஆங்கிலப் பெயர்: red kite, உயிரியல் பெயர்: Milvus milvus) என்பது மிதமான-பெரிய அளவுள்ள கொன்றுண்ணிப் பறவை ஆகும். இது அச்சிபிட்ரிடாய் (Accipitridae) குடும்பத்தில் வகைப்படுத்தப்பட்டு உள்ளது. கழுகுகள், பசார்டுகள் மற்றும் பூனைப்பருந்துகளைப் போன்றே இதுவும் ஒரு பகலாடிப் பறவை ஆகும். இது மேற்கு பாலியார்க்டிக் பகுதி ஐரோப்பா மற்றும் வடமேற்கு ஆப்பிரிக்காவில் காணப்படும் ஒரு அகணிய உயிரி ஆகும். இது இதற்கு முன்னர் வடக்கு ஈரானுக்கு வெளியிலும் காணப்பட்டது.^[2] வடகிழக்கு மற்றும் மத்திய ஐரோப்பாவின் பருந்துகள் குளிர்காலத்தைக் கழிக்க தெற்கே துருக்கி வரை செல்கின்றன. சில பறவைகள் விபத்தாக வடக்கே பின்லாந்திலும், தெற்கே இசுரேல், லிபியா மற்றும் காம்பியாவிலும் பார்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.^[2]^[3]
