78ஆவது அகாதமி விருதுகள் (78th Academy Awards) விழா அகாதமி ஆப் மோசன் பிக்சர் ஆர்ட்ஸ் அண்ட் சயின்சஸ் (AMPAS) ஆல் 2005 ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த சிறந்த திரைப்படங்களை பாராட்டுவதற்கு மார்ச்சு 5, 2006 அன்று கோடாக் திரையரங்கத்தில் நடத்தப்பட்டது.[3]
சிறந்த திரைப்படத்திற்கான அகாதமி விருதினையும் சேர்த்து கிராஷ் மூன்று விருதுகளை வென்றது.[4] புரோக்பேக் மவுண்டன், கிங் காங் மற்றும் மெமாயிர்சு ஆஃப் எ கெயிஷா மூன்று விருதுகளை வென்றன.

சனவரி 31, 2006 அன்று பரிந்துரைகள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டன.[5] புரோக்பேக் மவுண்டன் அதிகபட்சமாக எட்டு விருதுகளுக்கு பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்டது. [6][7]
