All articles should begin with a lead section that is in compliance with Wikipedia:Lead section, including a lead sentence that provides the full title of the book (and any alternative titles) in bold and italics. The lead should provide a stand-alone summary of the article's body. The content of the body should be guided by the information the references provide. There are no required specific sections; it is left to individual editors to decide how to best organize the content. However, the content should contain the following topics:
Background — provide the context. Who wrote the book, when, where, etc. For example, is this the author's first book or tenth? Is the author an academic, ideologue, or otherwise experienced with the subject? Context can also be provided for the book's subject. For example, is it a book about the war one year after the war ended or fifty years after? If it is a biography of the last 25 years of a person's life, then provide the context about what happened during the first part of that person's life that lead to the events covered by the book.
Summary/Content — report on the content of the book and how its organized. This can include any thesis and major illustrative examples. Do not try to re-organize the content, just summarize and report it.
Style/Genre — describe how the book is written. This can include comments regarding the tone, target audience (academic work, popular science, etc.), organization (chronological, thematic, etc.), style comparisons with other authors/works, comparison to past work by the same author (expansion of previous ideas), or other aspects.
Analysis — bolster or refute the arguments made in the book. Did any reviewers expand on the book's ideas or, alternatively, refute the ideas? Did the reviewers find the thesis was supported by the evidence presented in the book? This can compare or contrast approaches used by other authors/works. This should not be an opinionated section; this should be neutral reporting and analysis.
Publication — detail the book's publication. This can include information regarding the publisher or imprint, when it was released, how the book was promoted (book tour, speaking engagements, published excerpts, etc.), formats (hardcover, paperback, audiobook, ebook, etc.), cover art, translations into other languages, or other details.
Reception — quote the opinions of book reviewers. This section should contain a balanced reflection of the reviews. Providing balance is sometimes difficult because some reviews are more critical than others; some reviews may simply state "this book is great" while others may provide detailed analysis about what made the book good/bad. Because this section involves opinions it should be heavy with quotes and citiations.

தமிழ் விக்கியில் நூல்கள் பற்றிய கட்டுரைகள் எவ்வாரு எழுதப்பட வேண்டும் என்பதற்கான ஒரு கையேடு உதவியாக அமையும். ஒரு தலம், ஒரு பாடல், ஒரு நயம் (நூல்) என்ற கட்டுரையில் தரப்பட்டுள்ள சுருக்கம் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளத் தக்கதா? அதன் நடை நூலை வாசிப்பது போன்று அமைந்துள்ளதால் அது சுருக்கமா என்பதில் சற்றுத் தெளிவில்லாமல் உள்ளது. மேலும் சுருக்கம் மிகவும் நீண்டு விட்டது போன்றும் தெரிகிறது.
அடுத்தது நூலில் நூலாசிரியர் பற்றி எவ்வளவு விளக்கங்கள் சேர்ப்பது பொருத்தம். ஒருவர் பல நூல்கள் எழுதி இருந்தால், அதே தகவலை எல்லாக் கட்டுரைகளிலும் சேர்க்க வேண்டுமா.
நூலின் விலை எங்கு பெற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம் போன்ற தகவல்களைச் சேர்ப்பது பொருத்தமன்று.

- உள்ளடக்க தலைப்புகள் மட்டும் இடுவது பாரபட்சமான முடிவாக மாறும் அபாயம் உள்ளது. பொன்னியின் செல்வன் நூலில் உள்ள அனைத்துமே சுருக்கமாக கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அத்துடன் கதைமாந்தர்களென நாற்பது கட்டுரைகள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒரு கட்டுரையில் நிகழும் மாற்றங்களை கொண்டு வரைமுறைகள் கொண்டுவந்தால் பின்நாட்களில் அவை பிரட்சனைகளை ஏற்படுத்தலாம். எனவே ஆங்கில விக்கியில் புகழ்பெற்ற ஹாரிபாட்டர், அரேபிய இரவுகள் போன்ற நூல்களை மாதிரிகளாக ஏற்கலாம். அத்துடன் வரைகலை நூல்களுக்கும் ஏற்றவாறு தீர்மானம் அமைய வாழ்த்துகள். --சகோதரன் ஜெகதீஸ்வரன் (பேச்சு) 20:25, 11 சூலை 2013 (UTC)--சகோதரன் ஜெகதீஸ்வரன் (பேச்சு) 20:25, 11 சூலை 2013 (UTC)
- ஒரு தலம், ஒரு பாடல், ஒரு நயம் நூலைப் பொருத்த மட்டிலும், கட்டுரையின் அறிமுகம் மட்டும் போதுமானது. ஒவ்வொரு கோயிலைப்பற்றிய கூடுதல் தகவலையும் அந்தந்த கோயிலைப் பற்றிய கட்டுரையில் சேர்த்து விட்டு இந்த நூலை மேற்கோளாகத் தரலாம். அது கூட அப்படியே தற்போது உள்ளவாறு இடாமல் தரவுகள், குறிப்புகளை மட்டும் இட வேண்டும். பொதுவாக நூல்கள் குறித்த கட்டுரைகளில், அறிமுகம், உள்ளடக்கத்தைப் பற்றிய சுருக்கம், உருவாக்கத்திற்கான பின்னணி, வரவேற்பு / திறனாய்வு, தாக்கம் பற்றிய குறிப்புகள் இருப்பது பொருத்தமாக இருக்கும். பொன்னியின் செல்வன் போன்ற புனைவுகள், மூல தனம் போன்ற வரலாற்று முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த நூல்களின் உள்ளடக்கத்தைப் பற்றி விரிவான குறிப்புகளைத் தருவது பிரச்சினையில்லை. --இரவி (பேச்சு) 14:42, 12 சூலை 2013 (UTC)
- நூல்களைப் பற்றிய கட்டுரைகள் பெருமளவுக்கு நூல்களின் சுருக்கமாக இருக்கக்கூடாது. நூலில் என்னவிடயம் சொல்லப்படுகிறது என்பது பற்றிச் சுருக்கமான அறிமுகம் போதுமானது. மேலே இப்பக்கத்தின் தொடக்கத்தில் தரப்பட்டிருப்பது போல கட்டுரையின் அமைப்பும் உள்ளடக்கங்களும் இருப்பது மட்டுமன்றி உள்ளடக்கத்தின் பல்வேறு பகுதிகளிடையே ஒரு சமநிலை இருப்பதும் விரும்பத்தக்கது. முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த நூல்களாயின் எழுதுவதற்குப் பல்வேறு விடயங்கள் இயல்பாகவே அமையும். இரவி குறிப்பிட்டிருப்பது போல் மார்க்சின் "மூலதனம்" போன்ற நூல்களுக்கு அது எழுதப்பட்ட காலம், அதன் பின்னணி, எழுதியவரின் பின்னணி, சமுதாயத்தில் நூல் ஏற்படுத்திய தாக்கம், அதற்குச் சார்பாகவும் எதிராகவும் எழுந்த விமர்சனங்கள், அதை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட அரசியல், மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்களும் பதிப்புக்களும் போன்ற பல விடயங்களில் எழுதுவதற்கு ஏராளமாகவே இருக்கும். இவ்வாறே வெவ்வேறு வகையில் முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்த நூல்களைப்பற்றி அவற்றின் சிறப்பு அம்சங்களுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்துக் கட்டுரைகளை எழுதலாம். இந்த அளவுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் இல்லாத நூல்களாயின் நீளமான கட்டுரைகளை எழுதுவதற்கான விடயங்கள் அதிகம் இருக்காது. இத்தகைய நூல்களைப்பற்றிக் கட்டுரை எழுத வேண்டுமாயின் அவற்றைச் சுருக்கமாக இருக்கவிடுவதே நல்லது. ---மயூரநாதன் (பேச்சு) 17:42, 12 சூலை 2013 (UTC)
