'லைகோடான் ஜாரா (Lycodon jara) என்பது கொலுபிரிடே குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஓநாய் பாம்பு சிற்றினம் ஆகும். பொதுவாக இவை இரட்டை புள்ளி ஓநாய் பாம்பு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. லைகோடான் ஜாரா ஆசியாவில் மட்டுமே காணப்படும் அகணிய உயிரி.[4]
பரவல்
[தொகு]வங்காளதேசம், இந்தியா (அசாம், ஒடிசா, அருணாசலப் பிரதேசம், மணிப்பூர், மேற்கு வங்கம் மற்றும் உத்தரப் பிரதேசத்தின் சில பகுதிகள்) நேபாளம் ஆகிய நாடுகளில் லை. ஜாரா காணப்படுகிறது.[5][6]
விளக்கம்
[தொகு]பள்ளத்தில் இருக்கும் கண், சிறியது. 7 வரிசைகளில், தோள்பட்டை செதில்கள் மென்மையாக இருக்கும். வயிற்றுப்புறச் செதில்கள் 167-175, பக்கவாட்டாக கோணப்படுத்தாமல், குத வகுக்கப்பட்ட வாலடிச் செதில்கள் 56-63 வரை இரண்டு வரிசைகளில் அமைந்துள்ளன. இதனுடைய நீளம் 35 செ.மீ. நீளம் வரை இருக்கும்.[7]
