முழங்கால் மூட்டு விலகல் என்பது தொடை எலும்பின் பகுதிக்கும் மற்றும் கணுக்கால் எலும்பின் மேல் பகுதிக்கும் இடையே உள்ள முழங்கால் மூட்டு பகுதியின் ஏற்படும் விலகளாகும்.[3]இதனால் கடுமையான வலி, மூட்டு வீக்கம், மூட்டு நிலை இன்மை, நடக்க இயலாமை, காய்ச்சல் ஏற்படுகிறது.[3][4][2] [3][4][7]மூட்டு விலகளால் அதை சுற்றியுள்ள தமனிகள் பாதிப்புக்குள்ளாகிறது இதனால் கால் தசைகள் சிதையுறுகிறது. இதில் பாதி சிறிய காயங்களாகவும் பாதி பெரிய காயங்களாகவும் ஏற்படுகிறது.[3]இதில் பாதி பேருக்கு மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டுசெல்லும் முன்னர் சரியாகிவிடுகிறது.பொதுவாக முன்பக்க குறுக்கு சவ்வு, பின் பக்க குறுக்கு சவ்வு மற்றும் மூட்டின் பக்கவாட்டு சவ்வுகள் கிழியலாம்.[3]கணுக்கால் இரத்த ஓட்டத்தை வைத்து இரத்த நாளங்கள் நன்றாக இருக்கிறதா என அறியலாம்.[2]
