Dibuat untuk memperingati Pertempuran 5 Hari yang dimulai tanggal 14 Oktober 1945 dan lambang ini ditetapkan berdasarkan Keputusan Kepala Daerah Propinsi Djawa - Tengah tanggal 12 Djuni 1952 No. U. 145/1/5.
