| நேபாள் சாம்பல் மந்தி காணப்படும் இடங்கள் | |
நேபால் சாம்பல் மந்தி இமயமலை (நேபாளம்), தென்மேற்கு சீனா, வட இந்தியா, பூட்டான் போன்ற இடங்களில் வசிக்கின்றன.[2]. இவை 1500மீ உயரத்திற்கு மேலுள்ள காடுகளில் வசிக்கின்றன.[2] இவை இந்தியாவின் கிழக்கெல்லையில் உள்ள புக்சா புலிகள் காப்பகம் (மேற்கு வங்காளம்), ரைடாக் ஆறு வரை காணப்படுகிறது[3][4].
இவை வெப்பமண்டல காடுகளில் உள்ள மரங்களில் காணப்படும் இலை உண்ணி குரங்குகளகும்[2]. இதுவரைக்கும் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்ட மந்திகளிலேயே 26.5 கிலோகிராம் எடை பெற்று உலகிலேயே அதிக எடையுள்ள மந்தியாக ஒரு ஆண் நேபாளிய சாம்பல் மந்தி இடம்பெற்றிருக்கிறது.[5]
