சொற்பொருள் ஆய்வியல்
சொற்பொருள் ஆய்வியல் (Semantic analysis) பற்றிய படிப்பு செமஸியாலிஜி என்று வார்தை கிரேக்கத்தில் உள்ள ‘செமஸியா’ என்ற வார்த்தையிலிருந்து உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. செமஸியா என்றால் அடையாளம் என்று பொருள்படும். செமஸியாலஜி என்பது வார்த்தைகள் எவ்வாறு உருவாக்கப்படுகிறது என்பதைப் பற்றி பயிலும் படிப்பு.இந்த வார்த்தை கிறிஸ்டியன் கார்ல் ரெய்சிங் என்ற ஜெர்மனியர் 1825ம் ஆண்டு முதலில் பயன்படுத்தினார். இது ஆங்கிலத்திலிருந்து மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்டது.
