பழுப்பு சிறகு மீன்கொத்தி (Brown-winged kingfisher)(பெலர்கோப்சிசு அமரோப்டெரசு) என்பது பெலர்கோப்சிசு பேரினத்தின் கீழ் உள்ள சிற்றினமாகும். இந்த மீன்கொத்திப் பறவை கேல்சையோனினே உட்குடுப்பத்தினைச் சார்ந்தது.
இது வங்காள விரிகுடாவின் வடக்கு மற்றும் கிழக்கு கடற்கரையில் வங்காளதேசம், இந்தியா, மலேசியா, மியான்மர் மற்றும் தாய்லாந்து ஆகிய நாடுகளில் காணப்படுகிறது.[1] இந்தியாவில், சுந்தரவனப் பகுதியில் அதிகமாகப் பதிவாகியுள்ளது. ஆனால் சில்கா ஏரிக்கு அருகிலும் தென் பகுதியிலிருந்து பதிவுகள் உள்ளன.[6]
இதன் இயற்கை வாழிடம் மித வெப்பமண்டல அல்லது வெப்பமண்டல சதுப்புநில காடுகள் ஆகும் .
