இது குளிர்பதனப் பொருட்களின் பட்டியல் ஆகும், இது அவற்றின் ASHRAE- குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட எண்களால் வரிசைப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது, பொதுவாக R எண்கள் என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. பல நவீன குளிர்பதனப் பொருட்கள் மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஆலஜனேற்ற வாயுக்கள், குறிப்பாக ஃபுளோரினேட்டட் வாயுக்கள் மற்றும் குளோரினேட்டட் வாயுக்கள், அவை அடிக்கடி ஃப்ரீயான் (கெமோர்ஸின் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட வர்த்தக முத்திரை) என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றன. ஒரு இரசாயன குளிரூட்டியின் R எண் மூலக்கூறு கட்டமைப்பின் படி முறையாக ஒதுக்கப்படுகிறது. முதல் ASHRAE இலக்கமானது கார்பன் அணுக்களின் எண்ணிக்கையில் ஒன்றை கழிப்பது 1 (C-1) ஆகும்; இரண்டாவது இலக்கமானது ஹைட்ரஜன் அணுக்களின் எண்ணிக்கை மற்றும் 1 (H+1) கூடுதல் ஆகும்; மூன்றாவது இலக்கம் புளோரின் அணுக்களின் எண்ணிக்கை; மீதமுள்ள இடைவெளிகள் குளோரின் அணுக்கள். எ.கா.: R-22 அல்லது R-022, இது குளோரோடிபுளோரோமீத்தேன். C=1 அதாவது 1-1=0; H=1 அதாவது 1+1=2; F=2 அதாவது 2; 1 மீதமுள்ள இடம் 1=Cl. ஒரு "பி" எண் என்பது குளோரின் அணுக்களில் ஒன்று புரோமின் (Br) ஆல் மாற்றப்படுகிறது. இந்த சூத்திரம் ஜியோட்ரோபிக் அல்லது அஜியோட்ரோபிக் கலவைகளுடன் வேலை செய்யாது.
