ஒலிகோடன் தியோபால்டி (Oligodon theobaldi), பொதுவாக மண்டலே ஓலைப் பாம்பு அல்லது தியோபால்டின் ஓலைப் பாம்பு என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இது கொலுப்ரிடே குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஒரு பாம்பு சிற்றினமாகும். இந்த சிற்றினம் ஆசியாவில் மட்டுமே காணப்படும் அகணிய உயிரி ஆகும்.
சொற்பிறப்பியல்
[தொகு]தியோபால்டி என்ற சிற்றினப் பெயர், பிரித்தானிய ஊர்வனவியலாளர் வில்லியம் தியோபால்டின் நினைவாக உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.[3]
புவியியல் வரம்பு
[தொகு]ஓ. தியோபால்டி பங்களாதேஷ், இந்தியா ( அசாம் ), மியான்மர் (முன்னர் பர்மா என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது) மற்றும் தாய்லாந்தில் காணப்படுகிறது. [4]
வாழ்விடம்
[தொகு]ஓ. தியோபால்டியின் விருப்பமான இயற்கை வாழ்விடம் 220–680 m (720–2,230 அடி) உயரத்தில் உள்ள காடு ஆகும்.
விளக்கம்
[தொகு]ஒ. தியோபால்டி 39 cm (15 அங்) என்ற மூக்கு-எச்சவாய் நீளத்தை (SVL) அடையலாம். இதன் நிறம் ஒரு கார்ட்டர் பாம்பை ஒத்திருக்கிறது.[5]
