அமெரிக்கப் பல்கலைக்கழகம்
அமெரிக்கன் பல்கலைக்கழகம் (அல்லது ஏயூ) வாஷிங்டன், டி.சி., அமெரிக்காவில் ஒரு தனியார் ஆராய்ச்சி பல்கலைக்கழகம் ஆகும். பல்கலைக்கழக பாடத்திட்டம் மதச்சார்பற்றது என்றாலும், அது, மெத்தடிஸ்ட் தேவாலயம் இணைந்ததாகும்.[1]அமெரிக்க ஜனாதிபதி பெஞ்சமின் ஹாரிசன் "அமெரிக்கன் பல்கலைக்கழகம்" என்று ஒரு பல்கலைக்கழக தொடங்க பிப்ரவரி 24, 1893 அன்று ஒரு மசோதாவை சமர்ப்பித்தார். 2008, 2010 மற்றும் 2012 ல், அமெரிக்காவில் மிக உயர்ந்த அரசியல் ஈடுபாடு கொண்ட பள்ளி என்று ஏயூ பெயரிடப்பட்டது[4]
இப்பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் 6 பள்ளிகள் உள்ளன. அதில், சர்வதேச சேவை பள்ளி (School of International Service - SIS) யின் முதுகலைப் பட்டம் உலகின் 8 வது இடத்திலும், இளநிலை பட்டம் 9 வது இடத்திலும் இருப்பதாக ஃபொரீன் பொலிசி இதழில் பாராட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது.[5][6]
2016 ல், சுமார் 7.710 இளநிலை பட்டம் மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் 5,230 முதுகலை பட்டம் மாணவர்கள் படித்து வருகிறார்கள்.[7]
ஏயூவின் விளையாட்டு அணிகள் அமெரிக்கன் பல்கலைக்கழக ஈகள்ஸ் அல்லது ஏயூ ஈகள்ஸ் (AU Eagles) என்று அழைக்கப்படுகின்றன.
