இயற்பியல் அறிவியல் (physical science) என்பது இயற்கை அறிவியலின் ஓர் உட்பிரிவாகும். இது வாழ்க்கை அறிவியலுக்கு மாறாக உயிரற்ற அமைப்புகளைப் படிக்கிறது. இது பல கிளைகளைக் கொண்டுள்ளது, ஒவ்வொன்றும் "இயற்பியல் அறிவியல்" என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது, அனைத்தும் சேர்ந்து "இயற்பியல் அறிவியல்கள்" என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

வரைவிலக்கணம்[தொகு]

இயற்பியல் அறிவியலை பின்வருவனவற்றால் விவரிக்கலாம்:

    • இயற்கை அறிவியலின் ஒரு பிரிவு - இயற்கை அறிவியல் என்பது அனுபவ ஆதாரங்களின் அடிப்படையில் இயற்கையின் நிகழ்வுகளை விளக்கவும் கணிக்கவும் முயலும் அறிவியலின் ஒரு முக்கிய கிளையாகும். இயற்கை அறிவியலில், கருதுகோள்கள் அறிவியல் கோட்பாடாக கருதப்படுவதற்கு அறிவியல் பூர்வமாக சரிபார்க்கப்பட வேண்டும். இயற்கை அறிவியலை இரண்டு முக்கிய பிரிவுகளாக பிரிக்கலாம்: "வாழ்க்கை அறிவியல்" (உதாரணமாக உயிரியல்), இயற்பியல் ஆகியன. இந்த கிளைகள் ஒவ்வொன்றும், அவற்றின் அனைத்து துணைக் கிளைகளும் இயற்கை அறிவியல் என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றன.

இயற்பியல் அறிவியலின் கிளைகள்[தொகு]

  • இயற்பியல் – இயற்கை மற்றும் இயற்பியல் அறிவியல் பருப்பொருள் பற்றிய ஆய்வை உள்ளடக்கியது.[4] ஆற்றல் மற்றும் விசை போன்ற தொடர்புடைய கருத்துகளுடன் இடம் மற்றும் நேரம் மூலம் அதன் இயக்கம் பற்றியும் ஆய்கிறது.[5] இன்னும் விரிவாக, இது இயற்கையின் பொதுப் பகுப்பாய்வு ஆகும், இது அண்டம் எவ்வாறு செயல்படுகிறது என்பதைப் புரிந்துகொள்வதற்காக நடத்தப்படுகிறது.[a][6][7]
  • வானியல் – விண்மீன்கள், விண்மீன் திரள்கள், கோள்கள், நிலவுகள், சிறுகோள்கள், வால்மீன்கள் மற்றும் நெபுலாக்கள் போன்ற வான பொருட்களைப் பற்றிய ஆய்வு, வெடிப்புகள் பற்றிய படிப்பு.
  • வேதியியல்பருப்பொருள்களின் கலவை, அமைப்பு, பண்புகள் மற்றும் மாற்றம் ஆகியவற்றை ஆய்வு செய்கிறது.[8][9]
  • புவி அறிவியல் – புவியுடன் தொடர்புடைய அறிவியல் துறைகளைக் குறிக்கிறது. புவி அறிவியல் என்பது இயற்கையான சூழல் (சூழல் மண்டலம் அல்லது பூமி அமைப்பு) எவ்வாறு செயல்படுகிறது மற்றும் அது எவ்வாறு அதன் தற்போதைய நிலைக்கு உருவானது என்பது பற்றிய ஆய்வு ஆகும். வளிமண்டலம், நீர்க்கோளம், கற்கோளம், உயிர்க்கோளம் பற்றிய ஆய்வுகளும் இதில் அடங்கும்.
