விருதுகள்

ஜெனரல் பிபின் இராவத் (General Bipin Rawat, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM) (மார்ச் 16, 1958 - திசம்பர் 8, 2021)[3] இந்தியத் தரைப்படையின் 27-வது தலைமைப் படைத்தலைவராக பணியாற்றிய இவரை, இந்தியாவின் முதலாவது பாதுகாப்புப்படைகளின் தலைமைப் படைத்தலைவராக, இந்தியக் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் 2019 திசம்பர் 30 அன்று நியமித்தார். இவர் இந்தியப் பாதுகாப்புப்படைகளின் தலைமைப் படைத்தலைவராக 2020 சனவரி 1 அன்று பதவி ஏற்றார்.[4][5][6][7][8] 2021 திசம்பர் 8 ஆம் நாள், தமிழ்நாட்டின், குன்னூர் அருகே பிபின் இராவத் பயணித்த இராணுவ உலங்கூர்தி மோசமான வானிலை காரணமாக விபத்துக்குள்ளானதில், படுகாயமடைந்து உயிரிழந்தார்.[9]

இளமைக் காலம்[தொகு]

இராவத் உத்தரகண்ட் மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள பவுரியில், இந்து கர்வாலி குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தார்.[10] இவரது குடும்பத்தினைச் சார்ந்தவர்கள் பல தலைமுறைகளாக இந்திய ராணுவத்தில் பணியாற்றி வருகின்றனர். இவரது தந்தை இலட்சுமண் சிங் இராவத், பவுரி கர்வால் மாவட்டத்தின் சைஞ்ச் கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர். இவர் துணைத் தலைமை பதவி வரை உயர்ந்தார்.[11][12][13] இவரது தாயார் உத்தர்காஷி மாவட்டத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர். இவர் உத்தர்காஷியின் முன்னாள் சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினரான, கிசன் சிங் பர்மரின் மகள் ஆவார்.[14]

இராவத் டேராடூனில் உள்ள கேம்ப்ரியன் ஹால் பள்ளியிலும், சிம்லாவில் உள்ள தூய எட்வர்ட் பள்ளியிலும் கல்வி பயின்றார்.[15] பின்னர் தேசிய பாதுகாப்பு கல்லூரி, கடக்வாஸ்லா மற்றும் இந்திய ராணுவ பயிற்சி கல்லூரி, டேராடூனில் சேர்ந்தார். இங்கு இவருக்கு 'போர் வாள்' விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

இராவத், தமிழ்நாடு, குன்னூர் வெலிங்டனில் உள்ள இராணுவப் பணியாளர் பயிற்சி கல்லூரியில் இளநிலைப் பட்டமும் மற்றும் ஐக்கிய நாட்டின் இராணுவ கல்லூரியில் பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பாக பயிற்சியும்,[16][17][18] சென்னைப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பாக ஆய்வியல் நிறைஞர் பட்டமும் பெற்றுள்ளார். இதனுடன் மேலாண்மை மற்றும் கணினிப் படிப்பில் பட்டயப்படிப்பில் தேர்ச்சியும் பெற்றுள்ளார். 2011ஆம் ஆண்டில், மீரட்டில் உள்ள சவுத்ரி சரண் சிங் பல்கலைக்கழகம், இராணுவ ஊடக மூலோபாய ஆய்வுகள் குறித்த இவரது ஆராய்ச்சிக்காக இவருக்கு முனைவர் பட்டம் வழங்கியது.[19][20]

விருதுகள்[தொகு]

இராவத்தின் 40 ஆண்டுகால இராணுவச் சேவையினை அங்கீகரிக்கும் வகையில் பல விருதுகள் இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கவை: பரம் விசிட்ட சேவா பதக்கம், உத்தம் சேவா பதக்கம், அதி விசிட்ட சேவா பதக்கம், யுத் சேவா பதக்கம், சேனா பதக்கம், விசிட்ட சேவா பதக்கம் (இருமுறை), இவரது சிறப்பான சேவைக்காக இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.[16][21][22][23][24][25][26] இந்திய அரசு இவருக்கு 2022ஆம் ஆண்டிற்கான பத்ம விபூசண் விருதினை இவரது மறைவிற்கு பின்னர் வழங்கியது.[27]

விபத்து[தொகு]

திசம்பர் 8, 2021 அன்று, இராவத், தனது மனைவி மற்றும் பலருடன் இந்திய விமானப்படையின் மில் எம்.ஐ.-17 உலங்கு வானூர்தியில், தமிழ்நாட்டின் குன்னூரில் சூலூர் விமானப்படை தளத்திலிருந்து வெலிங்டனில் உள்ள இராணுவப் பணியாளர் பயிற்சிக் கல்லூரிக்கு சொற்பொழிவாற்றச் செல்லும் வழியில் விபத்துக்குள்ளானர்.[28] உலங்கு வானூர்தியில் பயணம் செய்த இராவத், இராவத்தின் மனைவி மற்றும் 11 பேரின் மரணம் குறித்து இந்திய விமானப்படையால் பின்னர் உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டது.[29]
