பத்திரிகையாளர் மற்றும் செய்தித்தாள் உரிமையாளரான அவீக் சர்க்கார் மற்றும் அவரது மனைவி ராக்கி சர்க்கார் தம்பதிகளுக்கு மகளாக பெங்காலி குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தார் சிக்கி சர்க்கார். 1876 ஆம் ஆண்டில் முதன்முதலில் நிறுவப்பட்ட கொல்கத்தாவைச் சேர்ந்த ஆனந்த பஜார் பேட்ரிகா மீடியா குழுமத்தை நடத்தி வரும் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர் அவீக் சர்க்கார்.

லண்டனை தளமாகக் கொண்ட ப்ளூம்ஸ்பரி பப்ளிஷிங் நிறுவனத்துடன் இணைந்து தனது தொழில் வாழ்க்கையைத் தொடங்கிய சிக்கி சர்க்கார், அங்கு ஏழு ஆண்டுகள் பணியாற்றினார், பின்னர் 2006 இல் டெல்லிக்குச் சென்று ரேண்டம் ஹவுஸில் சேர்ந்தார். 2011 இல் சிக்கி சர்க்கார் பெங்குயின் புக்ஸ் இந்தியாவில் வெளியீட்டாளராக ஆனார்.[1][2][3][4][5][6] 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டில், பென்குயின் புக்ஸ் மற்றும் ரேண்டம் ஹவுஸ் ஆகிய புத்தக வெளியீட்டு நிறுவனங்கள்  ஒன்றிணைந்தன, சிக்கி சர்க்கார் இந்தியா வெளியீட்டுத் தலைவராக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு, 2015 இல், அவர் தனது சொந்த வெளியீட்டு நிறுவனமான ஜாகர்நாட் புக்ஸை அமைத்தார்.

உலக பொருளாதார மன்றத்தின் சர்வதேசஇளம் தலைவரான [7] சிக்கி சர்க்கார்   ஃபோர்ப்ஸ் 2018 டபிள்யூ-பவர் டிரெயில்ப்ளேஸர்கள் [8] மற்றும் எகனாமிக் டைம்ஸின் 2015 ஆம் ஆண்டின் வளர்ந்து வரும் பெண்கள் தலைவர்களில் ஒருவராக பட்டியலிடப்பட்டுள்ளார்.

2015 ஆம் ஆண்டில், சர்க்கார் தனது சொந்த பயன்பாட்டுடன் ஒரு வெளியீட்டு நிறுவனமான ஜாகர்நாட் புக்ஸ் என்ற தனது சொந்த வெளியீட்டு இல்லத்தை அமைத்தார்.[16][17][18][19] ஜாகர்நாட்டின் முதலீட்டாளர்களில் நந்தன் நிலேகனி,[20] நீரஜ் அகர்வால் மற்றும் பாரதி ஏர்டெல் ஆகியோர் அடங்குவர்.[21]

அமெச்சூர் எழுத்தாளர்கள் தங்கள் கதைகளை நேரடியாக பதிவேற்றுவதற்கு ஜாகர்நாட் பயன்பாடு அதன் சொந்த எழுத்து தளத்தைக் கொண்டுள்ளது.[22]
