பிர் அல்-அபெட் தாக்குதல்
பிர் அல்-அபெட் நகரின் அல்-ரவாடா பள்ளி வாசலில் 24 நவம்பர் 2017 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை அன்று தொழுகையின் போது நாற்பது தீவிரவாதிகள் நடத்திய தாக்குதலில் குறைந்தது 235 மக்கள் இறந்தனர், எகிப்திய வரலாற்றில் இது மிகப்பெரிய தீவிரவாத தாக்குதலாகும்.[1] [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9] இந்நகரம் எகிப்தின் சினாய் மூவலந்தீவின் வடக்கு பகுதியில் நடுநிலக் கடல் பகுதியில் அமைந்துள்ளது. சுயசு கால்வாயின் முகப்பில் நடுநிலக் கடலில் அமைந்துள்ள சயித் துறைமுகத்தில் இருந்து சினாய் வழியாக காசாக்கரை நிலப்பரப்புக்கு செல்லும் சாலை 40 இந்நகரின் வழியாக செல்வதால் நிறைய பயணிகள் இந்நகரத்துக்கு வருவார்கள்.
