யோப்பா (Jaffa) (எபிரேயம்: יפו‎; அரபு மொழி: يَافَا‎ ) இஸ்ரேல் நாட்டின் டெல் அவிவ்க்கு தெற்கு பகுதியில் உள்ள பண்டைய துறைமுக நகரம் ஆகும்.இந்நகர் விவிலிய கதைகளில் வரும் யோனா, சாலமன்,செயிண்ட் பீட்டர் ஆகியோர் வாழ்வில் தொடர்புடைய நகரமாகும்.

பெயர்க் காரணம்[தொகு]

எகிப்திய ஆதாரங்கள் மற்றும் அமர்னா கடிதங்களில் இந்நகரம் யாப்பு என குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.தொன்மவியல் படி நோவா மகன்களில் ஒருவரான யாப்பேத்து இந்நகரை அமைத்ததால் இப்பெயர் வந்தது.[1][2]

யோப்பா நகர குன்று 40 மீட்டர் (130 அடி) உயரம் உள்ளதால் பரவலான கடற்கரையில் இருந்து தெளிவாகத் தெரியும்.அதனால் அது இராணுவ பயன்பாட்டுக்கு உதவியது. பல நூற்றாண்டுகளாக குப்பைகளை நிலத்தில் குவிப்பது காரணமாக அதிக உயரமாக உருவாகியது.தொல்லியல் சான்றுகள் யோப்பா நகரில் சுமார் கி.மு. 7500 காலத்திலிருந்து மக்கள் வசித்து வருவதாக கூறுகிறது.[3]

வெண்கல காலம்[தொகு]

யோப்பா இயற்கை துறைமுகம் வெண்கல காலம் முதல் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகிறது. யோப்பா கி.மு. 1440இல் எழுதப்பட்ட ஒரு பண்டைய எகிப்திய கடிதத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.இந்த நகரம் பண்டைய எகிப்திய ஆட்சியில் யாஃபோ எனப் பெயர் இருந்ததாக அமர்னா கடிதங்களில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. நகரம் முழுவதும் 800 கி.மு. வரை எகிப்திய ஆட்சியின் கீழ் இருந்தது.

இரும்பு காலம்[தொகு]

யோப்பா எபிரேய வேதாகமத்தில் நான்கு முறை குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

  • லெபனானிலிருந்து சாலமன் கோவிலுக்கு நுழைய யோப்பா துறைமுகம் பயன்பட்டது. (2 நாளாகமம் 2:16)

  • லெபனானிலிருந்து எருசலேம் இரண்டாம் கோவிலுக்கு நுழைய யோப்பா துறைமுகம் பயன்பட்டது (எஸ்றா 3 புத்தகம்: 7).

யோப்பா நகரம் தாண் கோத்திரத்து பிராந்திய எல்லையாக இருந்தது என யோசுவா புத்தகத்தில் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.[4]

பைசண்டைன் காலம்[தொகு]

மகா அலெக்சாண்டர் படைகள் யோப்பாவில் வைக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தன. அது மக்கபேயர் கைப்பற்றும் வரை செலூசியப் பேரரசு உடைய துறைமுகமாக இருந்தது. முதல் யூத-ரோமன் போரின் போது, யோப்பா கைப்பற்றப்பட்டு செஸ்டியஸ் காலஸ் என்பவரின் மூலம் எரிக்கப்பட்டது.[5] புதிய ஏற்பாட்டில் புனித பேதுரு யோப்பாவை மறுகட்டுமானம் செய்தார் எனக் கூறப்படுகிறது. புனித பேதுரு காலத்தில் யோப்பா என்று அழைத்தனர்.[6] புனித பேதுரு யோப்பா நகர மக்களுக்கு கிறித்துவம் போதிக்க வந்த விதம் குறித்துஅப்போஸ்தலர் நடபடிகள் 10ஆம் அதிகாரத்தில் விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இடைக்காலம்[தொகு]

யோப்பா அருங்காட்சியகம்

636 இல் யோப்பா அரேபியர்களால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டது.இஸ்லாமிய ஆட்சியின் கீழ், ரம்லா துறைமுகம் மாகாண தலைநகராக இருந்தது.

யோப்பா நகரம் முதலாம் சிலுவைப்போரின் போது ஜூன் 1099 இல் பிடிக்கப்பட்டு ஜெருசல அரசின் ஒரு மையமாக இருந்தது. சிலுவை போர் காலத்தில், யூத வரலாற்றாசிரியர் பெஞ்சமின் துதுலா (1170) யோப்பாவிற்கு வந்தார்.

சலாதீன் 1187 ஆம் ஆண்டு யோப்பாவை வெற்றி கொண்டார். இந்நகர் ரிச்சர்ட் லின்ஹார்ட் மன்னரிடம் அர்சப் போரில் மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு பிறகு, செப்டம்பர் 1191 இல் சரணடைந்தது. ஜூலை 1192 யோப்பா போரில் நகரை மறு ஆக்கிரமிப்பு செய்ய சலாதீன் முயன்றாலும் நகரம் குருசேத்திரர் பொறுப்பிலேயே இருந்தது. 2 செப்டம்பர் 1192 அன்று, யோப்பா உடன்படிக்கை முறையாக இரண்டு இராணுவங்களுக்கு இடையில் மூன்று வருடகால யுத்த நிறுத்தம் உத்தரவாதம் கையெழுத்திடப்பட்டது.[7]

1268 ஆம் ஆண்டில் யோப்பா, எகிப்திய மாம்லுக் அரசால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டது.

1515 இல் யோப்பாவை ஒட்டோமன் சுல்தான் முதலாம் சலீம் கைப்பற்றினார்.

17 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் எருசலேமுக்கு மற்றும் காலிக்கு கிறிஸ்துவ பக்தர்கள் செல்ல தேவாலயங்கள் பாதைகளை மறுசீரமைப்பு செய்தது.

18 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் போது, யோப்பாவை சுற்றியுள்ள கடலோர பகுதிகள் அடிக்கடி கடற் கொள்ளையர்களால் முற்றுகையிடப்பட்டது. பொருட்கள் இறங்கவும் மற்றும் பயணிகளுக்கும் படுபயங்கர ஆபத்தானதாக இருந்தது.20-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டு வரை, கப்பல்கள் தங்கள் சரக்குகளை கரைக்கு கொண்டு செல்ல பாதுகாப்பு படைகள் தங்கியிருக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது.[8]

7 மார்ச் 1799 அன்று பிரான்சு மன்னரா நெப்போலியன் யோப்பாவை முற்றுகையிட்டார்.யோப்பா சூறையாடப்பட்டது. சரணடைவதற்கான இறுதி எச்சரிக்கை கொடுக்கும்போது மக்கள் கொடூரமாக கொல்லப்பட்டனர்.பிரஞ்சு சிறையில் சரணடைந்த ஆயிரக்கணக்கான முஸ்லீம் வீரர்களை படுகொலை செய்ய நெப்போலியன் கட்டளையிட்டார். [9][10] இன்னும் பலர் வெகு விரைவில் தோன்றிய கொடூரமான பிளேக் தொற்றுநோயால் இறந்தனர்.[11]

இந்த பேரழிவு நிகழ்வுகளுக்கு பிறகு ஓட்டோமான் பேரரசால் கவர்னராக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முகமது அபு-நபூத் அவர்கள் மகமூதியா பள்ளிவாசல் , சாபில் அபு நபூத் உட்பட பல யோப்பா கட்டிடம் மற்றும் மறுசீரமைப்புப் பணியை தொடங்கினார். [12]

19 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் மக்கள் வசிப்பிடங்கள் மறு கட்டுமானம் பெற்றது.

அமெரிக்க மிஷனரி எலன் கிளேர் மில்லர், 1867 இல் யோப்பாவிற்கு வருகை புரிந்தார்.அவர் கூற்றின்படி யோப்பா நகர மக்கள் 5000 ஆகு‌ம்.இதில் கிறிஸ்துவர் 800 பேர், யூதர்கள் 1000 பேர் மற்ற அனைவரும் முஸ்லீம்கள் ஆவர்.[13] [14]

ஆங்கிலேய ஆட்சி காலம்[தொகு]

பிரிட்டிஷ் ஆட்சி காலம் போது, யூத மற்றும் அரேபிய மக்கள்இடையே பதற்றம் அதிகரித்தது.1920 மற்றும் 1921 போது அரபு தாக்குதலுக்குள்ளாகும் பல யூத குடியிருப்பாளர்கள் வெளியேறி டெல் அவிவ் நகரில் குடியமர்த்த பட்டனர்.1922 ஆம் ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் டெல் அவிவ் நகர மக்கள் தொகை 15,000. 1927 இல் டெல் அவிவ் மக்கள் தொகை 38,000 வரை இருந்தது.

1923 இல், யோப்பா மற்றும் டெல் அவிவ் நகரங்கள் சட்டம் மூலம் இணைக்கப்பட்டது.[15]

அரபு யூத மோதல்கள்[தொகு]

1945 ஆம் ஆண்டில், யோப்பா மக்கள்தொகை 101,580 பேர் இவர்களில் முஸ்லிம்கள் 53,930 பேர், யூதர்கள் 30,820 மற்றும் கிறிஸ்துவர் 16,800 இருந்தனர்.[16] 1947 ஆம் ஆண்டில், பாலஸ்தீன நாட்டிற்கான ஐ.நா. விசேட ஆணைக்குழு யோப்பா நகரம் யூத மாநிலத்தில் சேர்க்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று பரிந்துரை செய்தது.ஆனால் அரபு பெரும்பான்மை மக்கள் உள்ள காரணமாக யூத மாமாநிலத்திற்கு பதிலாக அரபு மாநிலத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக யோப்பா இருக்கும் அந்த அரபு நாட்டிற்கு பாலஸ்தீன நாடு எனப் பெயரிடப்படும் என்று 1947 ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பிரிவினை திட்டம் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளது. 1948 ஆரம்பத்தில் யோப்பா முஸ்லீம் சகோதரத்துவ குழு சுமார் 400 ஆண்கள் கொண்ட பாதுகாப்பு நிறுவனத்தை பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஏற்பாடு செய்தது.[18]

25 ஏப்ரல் 1948 அன்று,யூத இர்குன் படையால் யோப்பா மீது தாக்குதல் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.இருபது டன் வெடிகுண்டுகள் உடன் இயந்திர துப்பாக்கி கொண்டு யோப்பா முஸ்லிம் மீது தாக்குதல் நடத்த பட்டது.[19][20]

தாக்குதல் தினத்தன்று யோப்பா மக்கள் தொகை, 50,000 மற்றும் 60,000-க்கும் இடையில் இருந்தது. சுமார் 20,000 பேர் ஏற்கனவே நகரம் விட்டு வெளியேறி இருந்தனர்.30 ஏப்ரல் மூலம், 15,000-25,000 மீதமுள்ள மக்கள் தொகை இருந்தன.[21]

தொடர்ந்து வந்த நாட்களில் மேலும் 10,000-20,000 மக்கள் கடல் மார்க்கமாக ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.யூத ஹகானா படை மே 14 ஆம் தேதி நகரை கைப்பற்றியபோது 4,000 பேர் இருந்தனர்.[22] நகரம், துறைமுகம் மற்றும் கிடங்குகள் விரிவாக சூறையாடப்பட்டன.[23][24]

யோப்பா நகரம் 1948 ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 14 ம் தேதி யூத ஹகானா படையால் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டது.[25] பின்னர் யோப்பாவில் தங்கிவிட்ட 3,800 அரேபியர்கள் கடுமையான இராணுவச் சட்டத்தைஉள்ளாக்கப்பட்டனர். [26]

தற்கால நகரம்[தொகு]

இசுரேல் அரசாங்கம் 1949 ஆம் ஆண்டு அக்டோபர் 4 ம் தேதி டெல் அவிவ் மற்றும் யோப்பா நகரங்களை நிரந்தரமாக ஒருங்கிணைக்க முடிவு செய்தது. ஆனால் உண்மையான ஐக்கியப்படுத்தலை 24 ஏப்ரல் 1950 வரை ஒத்திவைக்கப்பட்டது.யோப்பா வரலாற்று பெயரை பாதுகாக்கும் பொருட்டு டெல் அவிவ்-யோப்பா என ஆகஸ்ட் 1950 இல் பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டது. பொருளாதாரம்[தொகு]

19 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில், யோப்பா சிறந்த சோப்பு தொழிலால் அறியப்பட்டது. நவீன தொழில் நுட்பம் 1880 களில் உருவானது.[28] மிகவும் வெற்றிகரமான நிறுவனங்கள் எந்திர தொழிற்சாலைகள் மூலம் உலோக வேலைகளை செய்தனர்.[28]

19 ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் மத்தியில் வரை, யோப்பா நகர ஆரஞ்சு தோப்புகள் விவசாயம் பாரம்பரிய முறைகள் மூலம் அரபு முசுலிம்களால் நிர்வகிக்கப்பட்டு வந்தது. யோப்பா நவீன விவசாயம் 1850 மற்றும் 1860 களில் விவசாய இயந்திரங்கள் கொண்டுவந்த அமெரிக்க குடியேறிகளுக்கும் மற்றும் யூதர்கள் மூலம் நடைபெற்றன.[29]
