மார்ஸ் (தொன்மவியல்)

மார்ஸ் (Mars) என்பவர் உரோமத் தொன்மவியலில் காணப்படும் ஒரு கடவுள் ஆவார். இவர் போர், கொலை மற்றும் இரத்தக்களரிக்கான கடவுள் ஆவார். இவர் ஜூனோவின் மகன் ஆவார்.[1] இவரது பிள்ளைகள் உரோம் நகரை உருவாக்கிய ரொமியூலஸ் மற்றும் ரீமஸ் ஆவர்.[2] இவரின் பெயரின் அடிப்படையிலேயே மார்ச் மாதத்திற்குப் பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது.[3] கிரேக்கத் தொன்மவியலில் இவருக்கு ஒப்பானவர் ஏரெசு ஆவார்.[4]
