Good article..Kudos ! I am tired explaining to many people in germany about cricket :). Differences one day match and test matches can be included.. then, my suggestions for translating the following cricket jargon.

Yeah, it's really challenging to translate the words. Initially i thought of writing a bigger article, but i was short of words, and you can imagine the difficulty. That's why i left some of the words in English as it is. As you said, it wd be nice if some AIR Tamil commentator helps us ;)

My suggestions. pitch can be translated as களம், ஆடுகளம், மையக்களம். retired hurt - காய விலகல். ஐந்து நாள் ஆட்டம் for test match is just fine.

the problem with wicket is that it is used in differnt contexts. It could mean a dismissal, the pitch, or the stumps. For difficult terms like gully, etc.. we can continue to use கல்லி as long as somebody suggests an excellent Tamil word. -ஸ்ரீநிவாசன் 10:25, 11 ஜூலை 2005 (UTC)

துடுப்பாட்டம்

துடுப்பாட்டம் பக்கம் தற்போது இதற்கு வழிமாற்றுகிறது. துடுப்பாட்டம் என்பதையே முதன்மைப் பக்கமாக ஆக்கலாமா? பல கட்டுரைகளில் துடுப்பாட்டம் என்றே நாம் எழுதி வருவது குறிப்பிட்டதக்கது. --ரவி 19:20, 20 மார்ச் 2007 (UTC)

ஆதாரம் தேவை நீக்கம்
