The reason for this and other corrections is that there are actually 2 lists, the shorter 1 beginning with Dipankara. Both lists are found in the Buddhavamsa. Peter jackson 15:22, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Yes, there is no definite beginning point for the numbering. There is also a list of "six ancient buddhas", in which Kassapa appears as the 6th.—Nat Krause^{(Talk!·What have I done?)} 22:09, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
