பற்றிழத்தல்

அரசியலில் பற்றிழப்பவர் (பற்றிழந்தவர்; Defector) எனும் சொல் ஒரு நாட்டின் மீதான தனது பற்றினை மற்றொரு நாட்டின் மீதுள்ள பற்று (allegiance) காரணமாகக் கைவிடுபவரைக் குறிக்கும். இந்தச் செயல் பற்றிழத்தல் (defection) என்று குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது. இது அவர் இருந்த முதலாமவது நாட்டினால் முறைகேடான ஒன்றாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. பொதுவாகப் பார்க்கும்போது இது, ஒருவர் ஒரு பிணைப்பினால், ஒரு பற்றாகவோ கடமையாகவோ தன்னுடன் இணைந்திருந்த ஓர் ஆளையோ, ஒரு செய்கைக்காரணம் அல்லது கொள்கை (cause or doctrine) ஆகியவற்றையோ விட்டுச் செல்வதை உள்ளடக்கியது ஆகும்.^[1]^[2]

இந்தச் சொல் பெரும்பாலும் இன்னொருவரை இழிவுபடுத்துவதற்காக ஒரு மதம், விளையாட்டு அணி, அரசியல் கட்சி அல்லது ஓர் எதிரணிக்கு மாறுவதையும் அவ்வாறு மாறுபவரையும் குறிக்கும். அந்தச் சூழ்நிலையில் அவர் முன்னமிருந்த பக்கம் அவர் துரோகியாகக் கருதப்படுவார்.^[3]^[4]
