அகராதிக் கலை

அகராதிக் கலை என்பது பின்வரும் இரண்டில் ஒன்றாகும்.

• செயல்முறை அகராதிக் கலை (Practical lexicography) என்பது அகராதிகள் எழுதுகின்ற கலையாகும்.

• கோட்பாட்டு அகராதிக்கலை (Theoretical lexicography) என்பது மொழியொன்றின் சொற் தொகுதிக்குள் அடங்கும் சொற்பொருளியல் தொடர்புகளை ஆராய்ந்து விளக்கும் கற்கைசார் துறையாகும். இது சில சமயம் metalexicography எனவும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.

அகராதிக்கலையில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள ஒருவர் அகராதிக் கலைஞர் ஆவார்.

பொதுவான அகராதிக்கலை பொது அகராதிகளின், அதாவது பொதுவாக வழக்கிலுள்ள மொழி பற்றிய விளக்கத்தைத் தரும் அகராதிகளின், வடிவமைப்பு, தொகுப்பு, பயன்பாடு, மீளாய்வு என்பவற்றில் குறிப்பாக ஈடுபடுகின்றது.

• சொற்களுக்குப் பொருள் கொடுத்தல்
• பொருளை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தல்
