கரக சதுர்த்தி அல்லது கர்வா சௌத் (Karva Chauth, இந்தி: करवा चौथ, பஞ்சாபி: ਕਰਵਾ ਚੌਥ, உருது: کروا چوتھ) வட இந்தியாவிலும், பாக்கிஸ்தானிலும் இந்து மற்றும் சீக்கிய சமயத்தைச் சேர்ந்த திருமணமான பெண்கள் கடைபிடிக்கும் ஓர் வருடாந்தர பண்டிகை ஆகும். இந்த நாளில் காலை (சூரிய உதயம்) முதல் மாலை (நிலவு உதயம்) வரை இப்பெண்கள் உண்ணாதிருந்து, தங்கள் கணவரின் உடல்நிலைக்காகவும் நீண்ட ஆயுளுக்காகவும் நோன்பு மேற்கொள்வர்.[1][2] இந்த உண்ணாநோன்பு உத்தராகாண்ட், உத்தரப் பிரதேசம், இமாச்சலப் பிரதேசம், சம்மு காசுமீர், அரியானா, பஞ்சாப், இராசத்தான் மற்றும் குசராத் மாநிலங்களில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.[1][3][4][5] வட இந்திய நாட்காட்டியில் கார்த்திகை மாதத்தில் (தமிழ் ஐப்பசி) முழு நிலவு கழிந்த நான்காம் நாள் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. அண்மைக்காலங்களில் இந்த விழா இந்தித் திரைப்படங்களின் தாக்கத்தால் திருமணமாகாத பெண்களும் தங்கள் காதலர்கள்/ கணவராக வரிந்தவர்களின் நலனுக்காக கடைபிடிக்கத் துவங்கியுள்ளனர்.[6]
